Tim Constantine, the Voice of Reason, interviews TPNNs Matthew Burke about the GOP leaderships reluctance to join with Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul in defunding Obamacare. That depends on one's definition of "evil," i suppose. At least the hard-core Leftist dems are guided by a core philosophy they believe in, and they are unfaltering in their commitment to their beliefs. You can't say that about RINO GOPe wimps.
I used to think the GOPe wasn't as "evil," as you say, but if you examine and compare the two groups for "evilness" by using a spiritual yardstick, it changes your perspective. Think of the GOPe's actions in terms of the Biblical concept of being "lukewarm." Which person is better off spiritually? The one who sins outright, or the one who is lukewarm? I'd have to look it up again, but you probably already know how that story ends.
The lukewarm GOPe are willing to compromise their principles (and thus betray the Conservatives who elect them) whenever:
1) they see something shiny that comes along to seduce them, such as money, a high-dollar D.C. whore, or another election, and/or
2) they are threatened with exposure by FBI files, or more recently, a fat, juicy NSA dossier full of digital evidence of their peccadilloes.
Those "not-as-evil" RINOs literally worship their false gods of Egoism and Power, a practice that, IMHO, is just as spiritually dangerous as selling one's soul to Satan outright by denying God 3 times at your national DNC Convention.
Pray without ceasing for our Republic. We're going to need it.
You make some excellent points.
But at least there are some very good Republicans, and the Party of Death has none, or at best, practically none.
