Wikipedia certainly cannot be accused of being conservative, or Muslim-hating.

Yet, as they note, Arabic numerals originally came from India. What we call Arabic numerals, Arabs call Hindu numerals.

Once again, the Arabs simply passed on discoveries from civilizations that they conquered.
