The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson,a conservative, made some contentious statements on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Thursday. In addition to lambasting Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for inserting race into Trayvon Martin’s death and George Zimmerman’s subsequent trial, he called the 17-year-old shooting victim a “thug.” Rev. The exchange began with Peterson claiming that race played no role in the highly-publicized tragedy.
“This case was not about race at all and what happened – you have the race-hustlers and poverty pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and others who turned it into a race issue in order to gain power and wealth,” he charged.
Peterson also targeted President Barack Obama, calling his past comment about Martin (“You know, if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”) “insane.”
These statements, he said, were intended to “incite the anger of black Americans and others.”
“If the situation that happened with Trayvin and George had been the same, yes … I imagine that the same outcome would have been the same,” he said. “George Zimmerman would have done whatever it took to protect himself. It didn’t matter to George Zimmerman the color of the man.”
The interview became contentious when Peterson proclaimed that “Trayvon Martin was a thug.” Morgan fervently disagreed and took exception to the fact that the faith leader said that everyone, including the television host and Martin’s parents, knew this assertion to be true.

It initially read that Sharpton and Jackson called Trayvon a thug. But the corrected version is clear.
Sorry to be critical; I just thought for a second that the two “reverunds” had come to their senses. But we should know better by this time.

My guess is that he saw the original mistake and the fix, and decided to be sarcastic with a few replies.
Anyone familiar with HG knows that is not his usual response when 'smells something'.

That may be, but Robert is a clever demoncrat. He didn't give Obama an 'excuse' to 'jump'. If Robert has blamed Obama, that would be viewed as 'racist' by the DOJ and we know where that road leads.

That interview was okay, but Jesse could have that mentioned Trayvon sucker punched a bus driver; he could have mentioned the stolen jewelry and burglary tools; he could have mentioned that Trayvon liked to brew up “purple drank”; and he could have responded that the Facebook guy would never have been slinking around casing apartments for open bathroom windows and medicine cabinets, and that if he had ambushed Martin and sucker punched him, he would have ended up shot just like Martin.

I saw him sneaking around my neighborhood one time and tried to pursue him, but he jumped on his four wheeler and he gave me the slip.

trayvon the great’s dad was a gang banger and has done hard time according to several articles here on FR. I have no link but I also have no doubts about it.
