Just found out this afternoon that my wife's 23 year old son (my stepson) died in a fire last night over in Mississippi. She is distraught, of course. I ask that you pray for us. Thank you.
May you find comfort in the Lord at this time. Bless you and you wife. Her son is with God now.

Father God,
In your mercy, surround this grieving mother and stepfather with your merciful attention in their shock and sorrow. Be a balm to their spirits, and give them strength and faith in the days ahead.
Lord, may Your divine gift of salvation and eternal life be the constant thought of their hearts and minds, and may their surrender to Your promises be their companion, now and for the rest of their lives until they are reunited with their son in the heavenly realms.
Provide for them, Lord God, all the necessities of safe travel, financial capability and smooth relations with all family members as they celebrate and memorialize the life of their cherished boy and man who has gone to live with You forever.
We ask these blessings in Jesus’ holy Name,
