Will American Soldiers Fire on U.S. Citizens?
clashdaily.com Blog ^ | 2 May 2013 | By Skip Coryell

I was doing a radio interview this morning and the host asked me why the Department of Homeland Security needed 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. The easy answer for me was, “They don’t.” Of course the follow-up question for him was, “Then why are they buying it?”

And that’s the billion-dollar question isn’t it. What is the federal government going to do with all that ammo? Why do they need it? Why are they buying it? It’s unprecedented. Are we on the cusp of physical domination by the United States Federal Government? And, if so, how will the American people react?

The talk show host also asked me, “If the people were to rebel, how could they ever possibly hope to prevail against a government so big, so huge, so powerful and so ruthless?”

He had a good point.

I mean, let’s face it: they have Predator drones, spy satellites, and sophisticated online surveillance and communication systems. How could the American people ever hope to prevail in a fighting war?

Sure, we barely prevailed over the British in our original war for independence, but that was different. Great Britain was based thousands of miles away, and it took 30 days to cross the Atlantic. That was a huge benefit to the colonists. We no longer have that. The federal government is right here, right now, and firmly cemented into state and local law enforcement. The talk show host argued there was no hope of prevailing over a government so massive and powerful.

Was he right?

I brought up the Taliban and the Viet Cong as recent examples of how to defeat a large military in a techno-driven war. In the end, the Taliban will win, just as the Viet Cong did. In truth, only three percent of the colonists actively fought against the British in our war for independence. But three percent was enough.

But the big question is this: Are there still three percent of the American population with the courage and resolve to fight against an out-of-control, tyrannical government? My short answer is: I think so.

Of course, we all have our lines in the sand.

1. I will fight when they force gun registration. 2. I will fight when they come for my guns. 3. I will fight when they come for me.

No matter where you fall on that list, it puts you in the precarious position of defying the all-powerful Obama of Oz. Who is the man behind the curtain, pulling the strings, calling the shots, planning out the final moves to dismantle our liberty?

Is it Barack Obama or some other unseen dark and evil minion?

I don’t know.

Most folks have but a half tank of gas.

No gas stations = the end of the economy.

>>What Internet? What phone system? What electricity? What water? What sewers? Not exactly the stone age, but dang close.

The same cell phone system that Afghani terrorists use. Do you think that 6 million square miles of the USA is going to be razed to the ground overnight? You folks seem to think that this will be some grand and glorious uprising where tens of millions of patriots come screaming out their houses all at once to defeat the federal troops. Insurgencies in the modern age do not work that way—if they ever did.

There seems to be an ongoing paranoia competition here that I wasn’t made aware of.

You’re forgetting another thing: half of those “americans” are quisling traitors who will turn the freedom fighters in in a second. They can do it anonymously by phone or by internet.

It doesn't work that way when people's family-members start being taken; and, indeed, people can really start banding together in such situations.

Comparing an insurgency in modern America to one in the 18th century or in a third world shithole is apples and oranges.

Comparing is valid, especially since the grasp on stability is so tenuous: turn the power off for a big-city for a week and see what happens. In a real CWII/guerrilla situation power's going to be a big target (and food, and water) and those are going to become unstable as a result. Hell, when I was in Iraq, in the Green-zone, we'd have spotty/fluctuating power and we [the Army/coalition] were generating it ourselves. That was in the secure part of the war-zone, virtually everywhere in America is going to be less secure than that and therefore at more risk.

How would any of that stuff be effective against 10 million men with scoped deer rifles who took their shots and kept their mouths shut?

PERFECTLY summed up in one tidy sentence. There is a limited supply of people trained to operate and maintain some of the technologically superior devices and as they begin to disappear there won't be anybody anxious to replace them. There won't be a front line. They will have to sleep with one eye open. There won't be a safe haven. Armed Patriots will be everywhere. They will lose.

There are a number of holes in that reasoning, but, make no mistake, if a unit takes fire, they will respond.

Leftists/Socialists have always been thourough in their elimination of opponents. See Stalin, Mao, Kim Jung, etc.

Factor in the indoctrination attempts in the military whereby law abiding, God fearing, small government types are portrayed as the enemey and you now have a potential significant percentage of the military willing to shoot our fellow Americans....or apprehend.

Remember Ayers said it would take about 25 million casualties to bring about the change the Left wants. Think about that...25 million...and that was 40years ago. That number is more likely to be around 50-75 million now.

I'm very glad that there are a few who actually UNDERSTAND what is taking shape right now.

People keep asking if our military would shoot on American civilians - wrong question. The question is will DHS and Obama's civilian Army and militarized police shoot American civilians?

Look at the photo on Reply No. 7.

Yes, yes they damn well will shoot Americans and are trained and ready to do so. You think if just ONE person refused to leave his home in Watertown or had a gun to keep from being thrown out of his own house that those armed thugs would not gun him down without so much as blinking an eye?

For the last 5 years (and somewhat longer) the demonization of Conservatives, Patriots, Christians and gun owners has been a mantra that has seeped into the consciousness of most Joe Sixpack Americans.

The moment there is a disruption in the comforts and entitlements that a majority of citizens expect - and the moment that gets blamed on whatever Right wing group this regime says is responsible - do any of you DOUBT that an Obama crackdown and massacre of these people he and his ilk have demonized under the promise of 'returning things to normal' won't be greeted with applause????

History repeats itself to a degree - and it's like reading the blueprint for our own holocaust as far as what is taking shape out there right now.

This regime is BEGGING for some White Conservative/ gun owner to hit back and that is all the excuse they will need to justify Watertown happening wherever they designate it should go down.

25 million may still be a correct number of those this regime will target for elimination.

Ultimately - it will go much, much higher - especially if no one stops them while there is still an ability to do so.

We have already been so conditioned to accept tyranny - it's mind-blowing. Trying to sell the concept of liberty as intended to low information voters - is a daunting task. Most think government is there to prevent risk and make everything 'fair'. It is a god to them.

And now we know how it was that an 'enlightened people' seig-heiled a madman.

Better to live on your knees than die on your feet ?

It has long been known that the former USSR understood that the proliferation of weapons in the hands of average American citizen would prevent them for establishing control.

This is the same reason why we gave the newly freed Iraq’s firearms.

Death by Government has an undeniable history.

The question for those that both give and follow orders becomes one of perspective and preservation.

The battle, is one of ideas and ideals. Concepts of what is “best” or “right”.

Duty, Honor and Country.

The narrative is shifting to an acceptance of self, as less than an individual, and more as a member of the greater good.

The really twisted part of this allegiance is that it exploits the “self”, it plays on the limited choices for survival.

Altruism Vs. another day.

I for one think that short of some extraordinary change, we will be fighting in the streets.

You don’t have to raze 6 million square miles to cripple an economy and it is much easier than you think. You overestimate the task but the poster who commented on civil war in Mexico is the one to listen to about the cost in lives. That is why this is nothing you enter into lightly but at what point do you put your liberty above your life? We all have to answer that for ourselves.

BTW, cell phones require ground based infrastructure.

Up here in the mountains if you cut off a rattlesnake`s head, his tail will wiggle n` rattle until sundown but he can`t bite no more.

That is exactly right. Those who would send the troops have to live here. Those and their enablers (treasonous media members, collaborating LE) are the people who should be hunted down and dealt with quickly and mercilessly ...there are plenty of lamp posts that could / should be decorated by those who would bring this kind of evil to our once great nation.

Comment: Now a question I have not seen posed: Will U.S. Citizens fire on the military?

Or more importantly, will U.S. Citizens fire on government sympathizers....

At least 30% of the Army is either black or Hispanic. I don’t think the leading participants in “The Knockout Game” are going to have any qualms about mowing down crackers. They’ll do a bang-up job of it in the cities until they hit the exurbs.

I don't see how any of that technology could do anything other than gather some evidence after the fact like cops taking notes at the scene of a crime. And not very effectively in that regard either.

Predator drones? Ten million of them ready to strike at the report from one rifle on the ground? Pretty pricey and still after the fact.

Spy satellites? Watching 320 million people looking for that guy down there ratcheting the bolt on his Remington 700? They can't find the illegal alien who comes to work at the same place every day.

Online surveillance and communications systems? Finding what? The 1% of guys who are dumb enough to post "I'm going out to take my shot today." Sure. I think I'm being very generous to that position to suggest 1% would be that stupid.

“ Soldiers are mostly the same redneck good ‘ol boys that would theoretically be the ‘enemy’. “

Thus all the effort to change the culture of the military. Recruit grunts who are more in their line of thinking and make it uncomfortable for those who aren’t. Over time the NCO ranks will no longer be full of your ‘loyal rednecks.’

Combine that with an officer core educated in liberal colleges and groomed in politics more than tactics and the next generation of the military will follow orders no matter what they are.

The Unionized LEOS will fire on us.

We need the military to crush the city, county, state and fed leos.
