I’m sure the victims don’t care about skin color.
The push to make the Whiteness or Non-Whiteness of the bombers an issue continues with just as much gusto at Salon.com and elsewhere after it turned out that the bombers were Chechen Jihadists.

But are we sure the Tsarnaevs aren’t white? They are quite literally Caucasian, as in from the Caucuses: Rebecca Eisenberg helps with this handy map. And ethnically in this country, we count Americans of Russian descent, as well as Chechens, as white. Dzhokhar was a naturalized American citizen; Tamarlan had applied for citizenship but reportedly didn’t get it because of FBI concerns about his possible ties to Islamic radicals.
So why are the Tsarnaev brothers not white, at least to right-wingers? Is it only because they’re Muslim? Muslim immigrants? Or is it because they’re “bad,” and whiteness must be surrendered when white people are bad? …
These days, though, Americans of Russian or Chechen descent are unambiguously categorized as “white” by the U.S. Census Bureau, which says it counts as white all “people having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa. It includes people who reported ‘White’ or wrote in entries such as Irish, German, Italian, Lebanese, Near Easterner, Arab, or Polish.” As I wrote Friday, the anguished outburst of Ruslan Tsarni, the brothers’ uncle in Maryland, was the quintessentially American cry of a newcomer wanting to be identified as a good, patriotic American – not necessarily as white, but certainly not as suspicious “other.”
So conservatives’ insistence the Tsarnaevs are absolutely not white is curious, to say the least.
This analysis of Whiteness is shallow, to put it mildly. Chechnya (to be distinguished from The Czech Republic!) is in the Caucuses, and there’s no one as “White” as someone who comes from the region from which the term Caucasian was derived. Right?
This is complete nonsense and a distraction for two reasons. First, when it comes to skin color, we need to Stop using the word “Caucasian” to mean white:

After all, the Armenians are indubitably Caucasian, and Caucasian is white, right? Compare the subtly of a regular dictionary definition of Caucasian, to the straightforward acknowledgement of the idiocy of the common usage of the term in urban dictionary.

It’s highly unlikely. There are scholarly disagreements about how and when some of our dark-skinned ancestors developed lighter skin, but research suggests humans moved across the Asian and European continents about 50,000 years ago.
Second, “White” is an incredibly broad term as defined for U.S. Census purposes:
White. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa. It includes people who indicate their race as “White” or report entries such as Irish, German, Italian, Lebanese, Arab, Moroccan, or Caucasian.
That’s a really broad range, rendering the Census term “White” meaningless when it comes to skin color. Bedouins and Scandinavians are all “White.”
The more important question is not whether the bombers were “White” or “Caucasian” but why Salon.com is obsessed with the Whiteness or non-Whiteness of the bombers.
It has nothing to do with skin color.
It’s all about distracting from the abysmal attempt to pin the bombing on the right-wing and Tea Party by reference to the indisputably “White” Timothy McVeigh, and to evade the questions the left does not want to face as to Jihadism, whether “homegrown” or international.

I will grant Salon.com one thing. They do know a lot about ”Whiteness” and squirrels.
They are Muslims and like a huge percentage of Muslims, filled with hate for non-Muslims since birth.
It is islamic doctrine to make use of such people ~ one of the reasons given is that they imagine the mentally ill to simply be getting punished for sins in their prior lives, so why not!
We now know of the genetic basis for schizophrenia. It can probably be cured, or treated. Leftwingtardism and islam probably can't.

Really, in this case, it appears that nurture was stronger than nature.
Both terrorists were normal enough a few years ago. Both participated in athletics and even did some things other teens like to do such as drinking and partying.
It appears the older brother started to turn based on his exposure to the ideas of radical islam. He then was further influenced and possibly trained by others while on his trip to Russia.
When he came back, he finished the brainwashing of his younger brother (apparently he had already been trying to radicalize him for a couple of years before). They formed a death pact to do jihad, seeking their 72 virgins in the afterlife or whatever motivates such people.
Point is: this was an outside influence that metastasized into a cancer.
They’re white with a good Asian admixture from the Mongols, Turks and other invaders from the East. You can see a little Asian in Dzhokar especially. But then again, so what? Who freaking cares? Libs are really a bunch of racist fools.

So, yes, hereditary terrorism ~ and both brothers fall within the parameters, and they are descendants of people who are members of a group well known for this for thousands of years.
Some of us have been privileged (I know that's not the right term for it) to observe more than one person sink into madness. One day they're 'normal'. The next day not, and it gets worse over time and then you finally notice they've fallen into a fetal position but are otherwise growling ~ and they can't take care of themselves anymore. Others are aware ~ they fight back ~ they fight you ~ and sometimes they undertake self-medication. That can take the form of binge drinking, or maybe constant prayer.
Sometimes there's a recovery of sorts, but all that does is convince them that what they did to defy the condition is the right thing to do.
The older brother turned to religion ~ strenuous religion ~ with hard rules ~ and the younger brother is just now in the age range for this to strike.
There are articles on the internet about how people with schizophrenia RECOVERED. I"d like to see the 25 year follow-ups! There are other articles on how the condition can be treated, but that's mostly treatment with zonk drugs; more about the dosages that don't kill than anything else.
A lucky few don't exactly recover, but they learn to live with it and appreciate the moments of sanity between months of drugged stupification ~ one I met was an analyst of some sort at Langley much appreciated for his ability to read strange languages ~ when he was sane. Otherwise he liked to sit around naked and meditate over a bowl of psychotropic drugs of various kinds.
Friend of mine had him over for poker once ~ he couldn't even get a driver's license but he found someone to drive him down to the apartments. Being schizophrenic doesn't mean you can't have friends.
Another friend pulled 4 tours in Nam and then discovered the delights of thorazine ~ and otherwise had a fairly mild case except when he did things that would send him to federal prison. We exchange Christmas cards ~ he always has a new address.
Those are the highlights. I have known far worse ~ fellow in the dorm decided to sit on top of his study desk and wouldn't get down for days and days and finally they took him away. That was OVERNIGHT.
I knew Rusty Calley ~ definitely a nut case; and the Barnhart brothers who robbed banks as an occupation ~ can't get a job if you can't avoid beating up the boss and that sort of thing. Then, the interstate car thieves ~ they made use of these guys in the early stages ~
I"m holding out for these guys being head cases ~ evil head cases ~ being used by either the Boston mob, or the leftwingtards, or the Islamofascists. Mostly they don't think this stuff up on their own

Yes, they’re white and they’re Moslem. One prediction that started a few years back was that the jihadist groups would begin to recruit white Moslems because they’d have a better chance of going undetected in some types of terrorist operations.
These two might or might not have been recruited, but they are white and we might find more white Moslems in future terrorist operations.
I always have thought they are “brown people”.
