It says:

1/ A Birth certificate is on file with the Department of Health indicating that Barrack Hussein Obama II was born in Honolulu, Hawaii

The problem is a “Birth certificate” is a generic term in Hawaii, the precise legal term is “Certificate of Live Birth”

If the verification had said:

1/ A Certificate of Live Birth is on file with the Department of Health indicating that Barrack Hussein Obama, II was born in Honolulu, Hawaii

or

1/ Place of Birth: Honolulu Hawaii

Then that would have been verifying that he was born in Hawaii. But it just doesn’t say that.

Also the final sentence:

Additionally, I verify that the information in the copy of the Certificate of Live Birth for Mr Obama that you attached with your request matches the original record on our files.

It says the “information” in a copy of the Certificate of live birth provided by Bennett matches the “original record on our files”

What it should say is “...matches the original Certification of live Birth on our records.”

Birth certificate is a perfectly acceptable legal term in Hawaii and everywhere else.

It is referenced as such in Hawaii statutes. An example can be found here:

http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol06_Ch0321-0344/HRS0338/HRS_0338-0006.htm

The statute that governs the verification issued by Onaka states:

"A verification shall be considered for all purposes certification that the vital event did occur and that the facts of the event are as stated by the applicant."

What matters is that the Secretary of State in Arizona accepted the letter as proof of birth and used it to approve Obama for the Arizona ballot, as did the Secretary of State of Kansas who also asked for a Letter of Verification.
We can parse the wording of a letter but it is the official action taken in response to a Certified Letter of Verification in Lieu of Birth Certificate that is the bottom line. Every state’s Chief Election Official approved Obama for their state’s ballot and in 2012. There were 50 ballot challenges heard in 22 states plus the District of Columbia that had formal legal proceedings challenging Obama’s eligibility. None were successful. Several are still pending.

Any court would consider this evidence - as the state of Arizona did. Conspiracy theorists will not - but then, nothing will satisfy a conspiracy nut.

And the “original record on our files” could be that “home birth” type of thing that even foreign born people could get.

O’s granny in Hawaii (or anybody!) probably did that.

See Sun Yat Sen; he had one of those Hawaii “home birth” certs but he was born in China!
