Good Lord what a poorly written and obviously misleading poll question. Granted, the voting is in pro-gun favor, the wording is horrible.

Important revelation regarding the mandatory background checks.

Licensed dealers would only be able to charge $10 for background checks on private sales.

They can’t afford to perform the service at that price.

Usually $25 - $35.

Would eliminate sales via gunbroker.com.

Currently, the background check is a “free government service”, for both retail and private sales, via licensed dealers.

Mandatory background checks ONLY work, if all firearms are first ALL registered.

changed, but still freep worthy:

“During Colorado’s current legislative session, the majority Democrats have passed several gun-control bills, civil unions, in-state tuition for illegal immigrant children, and are poised to take on the death penalty and a major tax hike for education. Are they overreaching?’

Too Late! (I just got home) — but here’s the NEW poll:

During Colorado’s current legislative session, the majority Democrats have passed several gun-control bills, civil unions, in-state tuition for illegal immigrant children, and are poised to take on the death penalty and a major tax hike for education. Are they overreaching?

This could use a Good FReeping too

Yes. 82.33 %
No. 16.18 %
Unsure. 1.479 %

The Denver comPost waited until the poll got down to 53% then closed it. Your thread effectively documents their manipulative behavior. Thanks!

Hickenlooper also referred to other bills the Democratic-controlled legislature has passed this session, including civil unions for same-sex couples and in-state tuition for illegal immigrant students.

"Each of these bills is about community in some way," he said. "This is an effort to build a better community in Colorado."
