All I know about Atlanta is they drive like maniacs.
I was down there some years ago in winter. They had what I would call a minor snow storm. The State patrol closed the Interstate to local drivers, If you had Michigan, Wisconsin, or Minnesota plates on your vehicle they waved you through.

Thats for sure. I285 is some of the most dangerous road ive ever driven.

Basic Rules of Driving in Metro Atlanta
Construction signs tell you about road closures immediately after you pass the exit before the traffic begins to back up.
Speed limits (84.1 mph average on the Perimeter) are arbitrary figures, given only as suggestions and apparently not enforceable in the metro area during rush hour.
Real Atlanta women drivers can put on pantyhose and apply eye makeup at seventy-five miles per hour in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Real Atlanta men drivers can remove pantyhose and a bra at seventy-five miles per hour in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
A lot of drivers down here think that NASCAR is scouting the freeways for potential new drivers, so they have to drive like that to get discovered. ;-)
