After polling 190,000 conservatives, Contract From America found that Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is the favored GOP presidential pick for 2016, as The Daily Caller reports.

While Paul leads the pack, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are two other popular choices for 2016. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are running last in a pool of 32 candidates.

Rand got up there and tried to do the right thing. You seem upset he didn’t mention your minutia in his 13 hour effort.

My point is, don’t lose sight of the good by whining about a personal point of interest.

Why on earth would anyone vote for someone who is okay with terrorist working in the White House or for the government? He could have at least mentioned Brennan's antisemitism; Hagels too. My fear is he agrees with them; the apple often does not fall far from the tree. When we allow antisemitism to reign, we are sending the message that we will overlook terrorist in our midst or that we are dangerously gullible. It's wrong for leftist to favor Islamic extremist; a republican candidate who overlooks it is going to lose the base. All candidates will have to face the decisions they have made, whether it be their votes or what they have said or did not say. People are looking for someone who is not afraid to stand up against evil and speak the truth WITHOUT compromise. A filibuster may seem brave, but what is the risk? Sharing the floor with like-minded people is not as brave as blasting the left with the truth; as politically correct as it may be. Where are the Sarah's who aren't afraid of the media and left. I know there are brave people out there, somewhere.

I’ll support Rand 100% if he runs and I hope someone like him does. Just let us please not have a bunch of retreds from 2012/2008 again. Having to choose between Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney was like being at a restaurant with a menu no one really wants. Rand has sufferred through adequate scrutiny and he is very articulate. We need someone who isn’t afraid to make the arguments and who will take the fight to the opposition using whatever tool is available. Taking a wait and see atitude like many in the GOP and just letting issues shrink to the background isn’t a strategy for winning.

The left when they care about something push it over and over and over again. They get outraged, they stay outraged. We need to take a few notes from their playbook because if you aren’t standing up for what you believe how in the hell will you convince anyone else to? I’d never vote Democrat but I can appreciate them not backing down no matter how screwed up their political worldview. Imagine if we had a congress full of Rand Pauls, Mike Lees, Ted Cruzs, Marco Rubios, Ron Johnsons? I know none of them are perfect but they are light years better at fighting the fight to win than the good old boys like McCain, Graham, and McConnell.

I don’t hate the good old boys. I just wish they’d strap on a testosterone patch and join the fight or shut the hell up and get out of the way.

I might disagree with you abit on this one.

What we need, is someone who is much farther to the right and this would be Rand Paul.

By having someone who is so “ conservative libertarian”, we might be able to get more “moderate right” solutions.

Tell me where I am wrong? Brennan and Hagel’s antisemitism was a perfect reason to not vote for them. Why not bring it up in the filibuster?

RE :”I didn't know Scott walker had a 1/2 million dollars in personal debt from frivolous ethics claims against him. Can you cite when that happened to him?(/s)”

More excuses??

If you want to beat Dems you need guts and results like Walker, excuses are worthless and certainly not going to beat Dems.

Who put a gun to her head and told her to claim this?

Palin had the fire photo palinfireinmybelly1.jpg

Obama is destroying what is left of our country, causing oppression of his people and you’re worrying about a RINO? Give me a RINO any day. We are in a sorry, sorry state. I wonder how many RAT voters would be willing to change their votes right now and I wonder how many of these chest-beating, self-righteous “third party” voters would be willing to change their votes to get a second chance at getting rid of Obama. Everyone who helped Obama get elected is a traitor to our country.

RE :”Just let us please not have a bunch of retreds from 2012/2008 again. Having to choose between Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney was like being at a restaurant with a menu no one really wants. “

The sad thing is that they were ALL very weak candidates from the start, which would be 2011.

Newt was run out of the House and so quit in disgrace. Besides that he is generally unappealing and has little self control.

Rick Sant was booted out of office by his state’s voters, and other problems.

And well Romney’s weaknesses should be obvious to all by now. One term governor of a very liberal state and too rich to be appealing to many, certainly to rich to sell tax cuts and spending cuts.

I could handle watching more adventures from Joss Whedon’s ‘Verse on Netflix...

If you don’t support rounding up those here illegally and sending them back, then you support some form of amnesty.

That’s like saying you don’t support pardoning drunk drivers, but you don’t want to pull them over or throw them in jail or take away their drivers licenses.

Dr. Paul does not support amnesty. Those who come here should respect our laws.

Is this still ambiguous to you?

Illegal for one, unscreened, no criminal checks, no medical checks,

So if Rand Paul supports allowing more immigration under a legal process (medical/criminal screening, etc.), you're ok with that?

saddling us with massive child education bills and no paying for it, massive use of public resources and benefits,

If you want to reduce (or, dare we dream - end) welfare benefits, you're more closely aligned to the Libertarian Party than any other.

drunken driving, murder, rape

That's intolerable irrespective of national origin, no? I'm not sure what that has to do with immigration per se.
