Diana, would you really stick us with Christie or another Bush just so you can keep one of the few decent conservative leaders?
The above is a flat out lie.
My ticket would be Cruz/West.
I was just thinking that...
Rand Paul is good, so far...
I'll wait til after the '14 election to see who will be running...
Much as it sucks, it’s gotta be said... it doesn’t matter who the Repubs nominate in 2016...
I'm okay with that too. I just want one of the acceptable conservatives to jump into the race with both feet, while the others encourage conservatives to unite behind a good conservative candidate. This routine of splitting our vote while a McCain or Romney gets the crossover Dem votes is not working out for America as a free country.
Rand also voted for Hagel. I prefer Ted Cruz over Paul, although Paul must be commended for his filibuster.
I only question what I heard as a documented tenet of the Libertarian party....
That was the faulty thinking last year when so many in GOP and here including Rush were sure O would lose.
Reality sets in, O kicked the crap out of the GOP twice. So maybe a real candidate is necessary to beat Dems.
Well he did fold like a cheap suit on obamacare. His flip flop is no different then Jeb's anti/pro amnesty squishiness.
Walker was at the top of my list, but now he's sitting with the B team along with Rand. Still, I'd vote for either over the F team of Jeb and/or ChristieKreme.
Sarah is still no. 1. If they can settle Cruz' eligibility then he could take the top slot.
I voted for Cruz in the primary, the run off and the general. I like him too, but I’ll want to see and hear a lot more before supporting him for President. He has only been in the Senate for 60 days! I have an ingrain distrust of lawyers. There are a few good ones and Cruz appears to be a good one (excellent in fact) but still 60 days is not enough to sell me on Cruz.
No way! You must of skipped that part where I said that Walker completely frustrated Dems and rallied them against him and then he got re-elected while winning back R state seats.
Walker didnt jump the ship before re-election(save the excuses) , to get a job complaining about Obama on FNC Greta, then do a make believe run for POTUS when he had a contract with FNC, so it was clear he was not.
Scott Walker hung out to fight and win and he did.
3.4 Free Trade and Migration:
We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders. However, we support control over the entry into our country of foreign nationals who pose a credible threat to security, health or property.
Sorry I missed the “If” oops. Paul is a constitutional conservative that leans libertarian. He is pro-life and against open borders. He is IMHO a little weak on homosexuals, but no one is perfect.
That’s okay...I’m just not gonna go along with a die-hard Libertarian candidate.
Palin (who I strongly admire), Paul, Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, Haley, and yes, Walker, and whoever else pops up to run.
When the race gets going each one will become a potential target of the circular firing squad here, each one will be far worse than anyone can imagine.......
What is your concern with immigration? Is it that they receive various and sundry welfare payments, or something else?
Mean neither, I think Libertarians are crazy, even thou I tend to agree with them on lots of issues. Paul is not a Libertarian. If any label fits him it would be a Classical Liberal, kinda like what the GOP used to be before the hated neocon took over. Reagan was also a Classical Liberal, or would have been if he did not have to finish off the old USSR.
“My opponents call me libertarian but I’m pro-life.” Rand Paul - Feb 2011.
