I've always been one to push the limits. To test boundaries. But I'm not lying. The Newt or else fever was FReaking intense back in those days. I made light of it with a tagline...
"Newt or else. What part of "Join or Die" don't you understand?"
Needless to say - the humor was not appreciated by those higher up in the food chain and I followed orders and took it down. And like many others - I shut my mouth on presidential politics for awhile.
