It doesn’t seem like lies to me. Hyperbole, definitely. But not lies.
Now, I do see a lot of lying in online forums (I’ve been on many) and sadly that includes this one. And much of it comes from people who are religious and presumably believe in the Ten Commandments, but don’t seem to follow the 9th one (8th if you’re Roman Catholic).
