NBC is reporting that Adam Lanza did not take rifles inside Sandy Hook Elementary School. He did not use a rifle, deemed an "assault weapon" by the administration and media to kill and wound. To repeat, no rifles were found inside the school. Lanza reportedly had four handguns with him. How many of those handguns were used in the killings isn't known, or at least is not included in this report. (NBC video linked below)
The correspondent [in the video below] makes it clear over and over again that he confirmed this information with federal and state officials. Now, a lot of media reports contradict this one, but somebodys lying. The report that an AR-15-style assault rifle was in the trunk of murderer Adam Lanzas car is up for dispute as well. If one examines footage from police breaking into Lanzas car, one sees police clearing a round from a long gun of some type that does not appear to be AR-15 style or assault-style.Whether or not the mainstream media are intentionally spreading disinformation about the Sandy Hook elementary tragedy, there is one thing for certain: not only are violent crime rates at a modern low and going down, but only 323 homicides were committed by rifles in 2011. That includes hunting rifles, assault rifles, military style rifles, semi-automatic rifles and whatever label one comes up with, regardless of magazine or clip capacity.
In a nation of 311 million people, the odds of being killed by a rifle is about one homicide per million people, which is far less than the odds of being murdered by a blunt object. (Read more at the link above)
See the video of the "long gun" here.
That is 100% correct.
<>Why stand back?<>
They didn’t stand back. They were there in 3 minutes from the dispatch and while some were taking down the guy in the woods [9:39:20], others were already in the front hallway of the school and found the two bodies [9:40] — all within a little over 4 minutes of the dispatch. I’d say that is a pretty good response time:
9:35:53 a.m. - Dispatch: Sandy Hook School, Callers indicated she thinks someone is shooting in the building.
9:36:15: The individual I have on the phone is continuing to hear what he believes to be gun shots.
9:38:10: The shooting appears to have stopped. The school is in lock down.
9:38:50: Well stage up the SWAT and go from there.
9:39:05: Reports that teachers saw two shadows running, past the building, past the gym.
9:39:20: Yeah, we got em. Their coming at me.
9:40 a.m. Youll need two ambulances.
9:40:30: Shooters apparently still shooting in office area. Dickerson Drive.
9:40:55: Troop 8 personnel, take Exit 10, left on 34, turn on Riverside Drive. Make sure you have your vests on.
9;43:45: We have one female in Room 1 who has gunshot wound to the foot.
9:46:20: Weve got an injured person in Room 9 with numerous gunshot wounds.
9:49:05: Negative on description. Shots were fired about three minutes ago.
9:53:25: Newtowns reporting one suspect down. The building has now been cleared.
9:55:25: Be advised, we have multiple weapons. One rifle and a shotgun
9:57:25: Any plain clothes responding, make sure you have your raid gear on, your raid gear on.
10:00:15: Ask the custodian, get a team up on the roof and clear the roof.
10:00:40: We need (inaudible) up here right away. Call Danbury of you have to.
10:03: What is the number of ambulances you will require? They dont know, theyre not giving us a number.
10:01:40: You might want to see if surrounding downs can send EMS personnel. Were running out pretty quick. Continued...

Is NBC you first and last source of information??? They were wrong on the day of that broadcast all day long until the ME Press Conference and then they were still getting things wrong.
Contact NBC and ask them if they stand by the information in that December 15th AM broadcast:
They said that no rifle was used, that the police found 4 handguns and 4 handguns only, that Adam Lanza’s mother was the kindergarten teacher at the school, that it was her classroom that he shot up, that he had an altercation with 4 teachers at the school the day before — All of it wrong.
If their report was false, then what makes you think that this statement of theirs that it came from "Federal and State" officials has any more veracity than their false report???
I watched it all from beginning to end and blast if what I saw and heard was remotely like the version going on now.
I’m extremely skeptical of everything right now.
Sorry dude, the conservative reputation is only bad because they accept the leftist version as truth. Perhaps we need to think outside the box of the MSM and the democrat party.
Conservative bloggers don’t check their facts? Oh really?Does the MSM check fact? Does the MSM even give a rats ass about facts? Why are conservatives to be held to facts when the left is never held to facts?
‘splain it to me!
Sorry buddy, I am not even a birther, but Iget pissed as hell when we accept the BS of the left with no fact included, which is what you seem to do!
You are aware, I assume, that the feds *suddenly* lost interest in reporting the use of the Bushmaster *assault rifle* after finding out that it came from the brother of Adam Lanza's murdered mother, a cop in their New Hampshire hometown.
Nancy Champion Lanza's cop brother, James Champion
Suddenly, he's a *retired* Police Captain who now works part-time as an officer in Kingston, NH.
I have no idea how you come to the conclusion that I seeem to "accept the BS of the left," when in this very thread I've pointed out that the so-called "mainstream media" got this story wrong again and again and again, on so many different points that you can hardly even count them up.
The fact is, most of what we were told by the "mainstream media" in the early reporting of the Newtown shooting was total BS.
Unfortunately, the difference in some cases seems to be: The mainstream media reports BS in the "fog of war," as the story is "developing." Some bloggers repeat complete BS (which, yes, was first written by some "mainstream media" "journalist") an entire month after the story happened.
A lot of people would count it "excusable" to report things that just aren't true in the "fog of war." Personally, I don't.
But hardly anyone can justify reporting the exact same wrong "facts" an entire month after it's become clear that the report was wrong.
Now. Of course I am not saying that the "mainstream media" ONLY reports their BS "in the fog of war." I'm sure there are plenty of things they tell us that are complete BS any way you cut it.
Unfortunately, they have a lot of credibility with most of the public just because they have a great big microphone and a huge budget. That's not the case with conservative bloggers.
well there were a lot of those, for sure, but then why does it keep coming up?
It keeps coming up because there are idiots out there more interested in casting blame than reporting the truth. While there is much justification for suspicion, there are crazies who are hell bent on misinterpting everything they can. The core is they attribute full truth to every report no matter how hasty or proven erroneous.
well, ok. I think it keeps coming up because the truth is elusive and people are looking for it.
When will the video or at least stills of his rampage be released? It seems these have been out since Columbine... I don’t know that they will be released since they will show the truth
It keeps coming up because idiocy is rampant.
Example:
The video shows a long gun being removed and examined from the car trunk. From this, and in conjunction of the early news the AR15 was not used & was left in the car, conspiracy theorists allege some coverup.
This is a major starting point for the “the whole thing was a setup by the government as a ‘Reichstag fire’ event to justify gun confiscation and tyranny” claimants, who accept this claim as axiomatic and thus need to find facts which can be spun to fit.
Problem is, it’s misguided from the start. From the video in question, it is clear to any informed observer that the way the gun is being handled, and from what shape can be observed, it is plain the gun is NOT an AR15.
So, from the start, the narrator is either ignorant or malicious.
It’s not that the truth is elusive - it’s that the truth is fragmented and thus may be spun for evil intentions.
Maybe you should watch this NBC report:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8004316/ns/video/#50208495
Brace yourself.
That is an old report dated December 15th that NBC apologized for and retracted by the end of the day.
This is the latest information from NBC. The “fog” is lifting and there is egg on lots of faces, including the Obama Syndicate:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8004316/ns/video/#50208495
What this tells me is you can do lots of damage with handguns. The argument against large capacity magazines reminds me of “Nanny” Bloomberg’s soft drink restriction in New York City. So, soft drinks are limited to 16 oz. That will do no good because people will just buy more 16 oz soft drinks.
We really should be looking at gangs, America’s real assault weapon. In just two weeks, Chicago gangs murder the same number of people as were killed in Sandy Hook Elementary School.
OMG you are correct! When I moved my cursor over the thumbnail of Adam Lanza, the December 15th date appeared.
There is another thread carrying the NBC misinformation:

Your “latest information” is from Dec. 15 and links to this video have been reposted on FR every few hours for days.
I am sorry, but this latest post (link below) made me think new information had come out about the AR-15 not used in the Sandy Hook murders.
When I moved my cursor over the thumbnail of Adam Lanza, the December 15th date appeared. Here is the post:

Things like this try my ability to seek the truth.
I just saw the latest post and it is like the Energizer Bunny that keeps on coming.
