Now,consider this - this is Texas. The list of who bought a gun is in the files of the store where guns were bought. Then, we have the guns who were bought from individuals and there is no record of that. Guns handed down through the family have no record.
Cops will know the above. Now, two cops are approaching a house where they know a person bought a gun ‘cause they have the record from the store but they don't know if there are other guns there. They know most Texans use their guns at shooting ranges and for animal hunting and their guns are dear to them. What is the fear factor in the heart of those cops? Or, in the heart of a federal agent?
The first cop or federal agent who is killed will put more fear in the cop/fed gun confiscator.
Taking guns in Texas just isn't going to work. There would be blood running in the streets and it would be cop/fed blood. You can say men would be threatened by taking away their jobs if they didn't give up their guns, say anything you want, but most men in this state don't give a damn when their guns are in danger.
Who wants to go to Humblegunner’s house and demand his guns? I rest my case.
My guns could be taken, and so could I be taken.
The question is at what cost?

I believe that it will include Feds (BATF, FBI, DEA, Marshalls, possibly IRS and others). You're right; that won't be enough. I believe that the State Police, county police, and local police along with some sheriffs will be involved. In some states, National Guard may be involved, as well. For 'riot control', you see. Not all personnel in these entities will go along, and there may be serious armed internal dissent, particularly in local police and national guard. IMO.
Additionally, they will not be out there "violating citizens' sacred Constitutional Rights. They'll be arresting 'scofflaws', breaking up "terrorist cells", stopping "violent extremists", etc. There will be a concerted propaganda campaign from Big Media and Big Government to paint all gun-onwers this way. That campaign has already begun. We are currently in a war of words against the tyrants and rapist-enablers in Big Media and Big Government. The battlefield is in our neighbours' minds. Pass up no opportunity to fight the good fight.
