Exactly how would they go about confiscating guns? Search everyone’s home? Lock people up if they are on record for having purchased a gun but have not turned them in. Seems like an exercise in futility.

nobody complained about 'sobriety' *checkpoints*...insurance checkpoints, seatbelt checkpoints...
once more with 'papers please' and most [but NOT all] will turn em in to avoid the mandatory felony...

This coming from the side who said the gov't couldn't deport 12 million illegals because it didn't have the manpower or money...
So how are they going to find something that can be stored in a small space?
It's not like you can get small wooden box, dismantle, lubricate, and store in a hole millions of Mexicans for retrieval years later...
