When an error is made on official document? A bank will ask for (and expect), an initial, by the person changing the document. Why would a change to official records not show the bureaucrat’s initial and a note defining the reason for the change? Know what I mean?
I undderstand your caution. I too noticed the obviousness of the correction and wondered how Corsi concluded cover-up.

The “official document” IMO on reflection, is the microfilm, not the label on the box containing the microfilm.
Corsi went national with his discovery that the microfilm in the box labeled through Aug 7 only went through Aug 1. The microfilm appeared to be CUT to remove the records on the dates when a certain baby might have been recorded entering the country.
Having been apprised by Corsi of the fact that the film in the box only went through Aug 1, a helpful clerk may have corrected the label by hand.
Certainly a properly brought action that would include discovery to investigate what happened to the CUT missing microfilm. I don’t think this legal action focusing on the box label is it. The Obama Admin. is the ultimate custodian of these records and Holder the ultimate prosecutor of any wrongdoing, so without a non-existent independent prosecutor (law has lapsed), not much hope.
Since the Sandy Berger affair, the National Archives has tightened up their security a lot. They ought to have a record of every person who has accessed that film. People have to get an ID card and go through several layers of security in order to see those kinds of records. WHO has been accessing that box of film between March and December 2012? That’s the timeframe for when the box label was modified. If you read his motion, you’ll see that there’s another problem with the film. All the others have a special indicator for “end of roll.” The roll that SHOULD contain Obama’s birth week doesn’t have that notification. That seems to indicate that the end of the roll was just cut off and the box was relabeled and then they pretended that that week is simply missing.
