The state of Arizona is gearing up for a wave of incoming wealthy California millionaires and business owners escaping the ever-increasing confiscation of their earnings by one of the worst managed states in the country.
Thanks to unions and years of out-of-control social and welfare program spending, coupled with the passage of Proposition 30 last month, high-income Californians are poised to pay the nation's highest marginal income tax rates - nearly 52 percent, and Arizona couldn't be happier.
"While we really don't need the extra traffic, we are thrilled at the multitude of California businesses and their wealthy owners coming to our great state," said Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. "I can't blame them - who in their right mind would want to live in that socialist swamp?"
California and Arizona - a contrast in philosophies
Well, it took me until Gov. Jan’s “comment” before I realized the article was onion-esque
Jan might think that, but would never say it for anyone to hear.
I can believe that ditzy broad, Simema or whatever her name is, came right out and proudly claimed that she was a socialist. The morons bought her BS and elected her anyway. I think most of them were just in love. Bad news for Arizona.
I probably should’ve put “(Satire)” in the subject/title line.
You know it, all those lefty idiots will do is vote for whatever leftist crap they voted for to ruin CA. Capture them and then release them into Chihuahua, let them try their pro immigrant stuff there.
“Prepping”? As in preparing for a disaster?
Sorry for Arizona, I wish they would stay in the state they ruined and not spread their enlightenment elsewhere as I can see what they did in Colorado and Montana also.
Perhaps. But, "Preparing" may have a slightly different connotation in this case.
However, not all of us are that way. My sig. other and I are not, and we do NOT plan to Californicate wherever we go.
Between the crazy politics, the rising cost of living, the illegals, and just the general loss of civility, I now wish I'd left permanently years ago. But better late than never. I don't want to die here in California!
