Should Sarah Palin run for president in 2016? Conservative columnist Charlotte Allen thinks so, arguing that the former Alaskan governor is just what the GOP needs to revitalize its campaign chances in 2016.

I think if she would have run, she would have beat Romney and would be President right now.
That is what I think.
That may be but only because idiots like you believe what they read, or maybe hear for you, on MSDNC.
(correction: President-elect)
I would rather lose w Palin than “Win” w the clowns in the GOPe who now offer obama-lite
It doesn’t matter who I would support. There isn’t a Republican who could win a national election.
Now typically this is fine, GFY GOP-E, BUT being the Patriot that she is. Sarah didn't want to risk some sort of splinter GOP-E third party rebellion and get Hussein back in the White Hut.
So, their still being an acceptable number of alternatives to Romney she decided to sit this one out. (But Mittens still wound up with the Nomination and look where we are now)
But Sarah knows all this isn't about her, this is bigger than me, you, or her wanting to be president.
That being the Chief Executive is a Responsibility and a Privilege, not an end unto itself, the way Ubama and I would bet Romney sees it.
That is what makes Sarah so special, to be honest I don't think she wants to be President per say, she just wants a Conservative in the white house and if it ends up being her, well so be it.
So float someone then.
No fair just taking pokes at others. Who would you support right now?
We must become more like the Democrats?
And if we believe this idiocy, we are doomed to extinction as a Party and movement.
Based on what? Your feelings? Her negatives are so high, if Palin had been the Republican nominee her loss would have been epic.
She is done with politics.
I agree. I love her, but she is entirely unelectable and sure will be by 2016.
There IS something to be said for that. We are going to perpetually lose with what the GOP elite and their mouthpieces give us, why not go with one of our own win or lose?
It's mortifying. These loons are making the rest of us here -- on a site Jim has spent over a decade establishing as sober and credible -- look like the political equivalent of tinfoil-topped 9/11 truthers.
Maybe one for your Ping List.
:)
Agreed. The ghost of Goldwater is always w these clowns in the GOPe, but you know what - 50 years from now people will respect and quote Goldwater - not dole, W, GHWB, etc right?
I think we need to get away from a “cult of personality” type of division politics.
Romney forgot about that part ~
