According to another UK paper, daughter Emily asked her father to publish it:
The family feud burst into the public domain when Nick Crews published the email at the request of daughter Emily Crews-Montes, 40 – one of his targets – who now lives in France [married to a doctor] and works as a translator for a publisher.
