SatinDoll has suggested that Petraeus voluntarily resigned using the affair as an excuse, after finding out that the Obama regime was involved in deep, deep treason in Libya and wanted him to cover for it. My post right before this one gives some reasons why that makes sense. If this is true, then Petraeus may have resigned to give the Benghazi cover-up legs.

The timing of it is another thing though. Why not resign before the election and have this blow up in Obama’s face? Maybe he knew the election would be stolen regardless of anything that happened? Maybe he was afraid the story would simply be buried until after the election anyway? Maybe he wanted to time this specifically to bring attention to the Benghazi hearings next week? Maybe he figured there was still a chance to stop Obama through impeachment and/or Congress finding out first-hand that Obama is a traitor - which could impact their willingness to certify the electoral votes given the electoral fraud?

I don’t know. But I think the country needs some no-BS answers from ALL these players. And Congress needs to disarm the threat of the Obama regime itself while we get those answers. They need to vote to impeach Obama, declare Obama and Biden both - as complicit in the Benghazi situation - unable to fulfill their Constitutional duties and thus recognize John Boehner as acting Commander in Chief. Oh, wait. I’m looking at the 25th Amendment. Looks like it is a majority of Obama’s cabinet members who would have to declare Obama unable to execute the duties of his office. Never mind. That will only happen when Hell freezes; the country is totally unprotected while trying a POTUS for treason. He will always have the “bargaining chip” of hitting the red button if anybody seriously considers finding him guilty... And it also looks like there is no mechanism for declaring the Vice-president incapable of executing the duties of POTUS. I wonder if that would fall to Congress then, as per Article II, Section 1, 6...

“SatinDoll has suggested that Petraeus voluntarily resigned using the affair as an excuse,”

THIS part I absolutely agree with, but do not discount the facts here. petraeus was worse than hip deep in this and is protecting himself at the expense of four dead Americans, (this time,) his family, the troops who served under a dishonorable, ambitious criminal, and beyond. Repeating myself yet again, of all petraeus’ sins, infidelity is the most respectable.

WOW, you packed a lot of meat in that. Will take me some time to digest all of it. LOL

......."""Petraeus may have resigned to give the Benghazi cover-up legs."""".......

I think that is the best possibility...as well as to see that his family is heavily guarded & protected from what he knows he will hav to do next, TESTIFY..

........."""The timing of it is another thing though""""....

Lots in that second paragaph to ponder. Maybe things just happened so fast, and they blackmailed him with the affair and he was trapped, then decided "TO HELL WITH IT", my first DUTY is to my country, and "I will tell all". Which he could not do until after he resigned. jmo.

........""""But I think the country needs some no-BS answers from ALL these players.""""

There is no doubt in my mind that will happen....just my feeling. All except Hillary, who can't remember s..t!..

.....""""And Congress needs to disarm the threat of the Obama regime""""".......

Interesting to see how that happens, any thoughts? I need to go back and continue pondering your post, much insight there. Thanks

eWhy not resign before the election and have this blow up in Obama’s face?

Between Sandy and the election, it would have been buried as effectively as the rest of the events.

I think people who had said their departments were NOT the ones who issued no-go orders were banking on Duh-1 being voted out or a 'pubbie Senate, or both. Didn't happen, and some careers will end because people spoke out.

The headliners may or may not be 'safe', but it is likely some minor players will get sick, have accidents, etc. in the next few months.

I think your question is central. If Petraeus wanted to resign to expose Obama’s treason, he could, should and would have done so before his reelection.

I think at best this can be seen as his not wanting to commit perjury in his testimony to Congress, and in turn Obama’s crew making sure he got smeared with what they’d been blackmailing him with on his way out.
