While the Obama campaign was boasting about raising more campaign cash than the GOP during September it now looks like a significant share (an estimated 68%) of this cash may have been obtained illegally. It appears that two-thirds of the campaigns web donors are foreigners. By law, foreigners are barred from donating to US political campaigns.
David Axelrod emphasized what he called the inherent inequity of the ban on foreign money. Look, it isnt only Americans who are affected by who is elected, Axelrod pointed out. Were not a small insignificant country. What we do has ripple affects all over the globe. It impacts people in other countries. Naturally, these people would like to have some input to the process.
In support of the idea that foreigners should have a right to contribute to President Obamas reelection, Axelrod cited a GlobalPost poll indicating that 68% of foreigners favor Obamas reelection and a Gallup poll of foreign voters that would give Obama 81% of the vote.
The vast majority of the people of the world want President Obama to continue in office, he observed. In fact, the ratio of support is greater than three-to-one in one poll and four-to-one in another. Should this make no difference? Its bad enough that all the people affected by US policies cant vote for who runs America. Must we also deny them the opportunity to put their two cents in so to speak?

O downplays every issue.
Thanks for the chuckle John. Good one again.
More than likely, Barry will brag about how proud he is that he is able to get people all over the world to want to “participate” in U.S. elections. 47% of those infesting this country will agree with him.
A similar scam was worked worldwide in rasing the enormous amounts of cash in the 2008 election cycle, too. Small donors were encouraged to “launder” a money gift by turning around and forwarding the sum equal to what some “anonymous” contributor had mysteriously made available to them, passing it through to the DNC or the various separate candidate campaigns, which created the false impression of widespread (Astro-Turf) grassroots support. And it was virtually untraceable, as long as the individual contributions were below a couple of hundred dollars.
This tactic is now carved in stone on some tablet somewhere, but for public consumption, it shall be written only in invisible ink. A computer entry is highly evanescent, but its mischief may be done in nanoseconds.
IBHE (in before heads explode)
Same crap as during the 2008 elections. Obama campaign getting prepaid debit card donations...mostly untraceable.
