Urgent prayer request for FReeper METMOM.
Metmom was admitted to the hospital this past Tuesday with serious complications from what started out as a minor, out-patient procedure. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors treating her to find the root cause of the problem, a good response to the medications and a full recovery. Pray for her family, as well, for their peace and strength as they trust in the Lord to heal their beloved wife and mother.
Thank you for the continuing updates, boatbums. Prayers will continue.
When will they know if she can tolerate the MRSA antibiotic?
She guessed it would be within a few days. I'll talk to her again tomorrow and give an update. Thanks for your prayers.

I spent 5 days in the hospital with a near-MRSA skin infection of my leg a couple of years ago. Still have after effects. However I still have my leg and am alive.
Pray that Obamacare is repealed before it even gets close to being enacted...

I just got done reading through the thread and sure appreciate the thoughts and prayers offered. I wish I could respond to each of you individually but know that I do in thought.
I went to the ER two weeks ago with a BP of 57/46. I never saw the ER people react so fast in my life. They were pretty sure it was an infection but all the blood work was inconclusive. It wasn’t till a few days later when the site of the outpatient surgery I had swelled some that they were able to drain it and run tests which showed a MRSA infection.
The surgeon drained and packed the site for a day or two but there was so much drainage that they put an ostomy bag on my back and the site has been draining since then, over a week now and still putting out. The fuid draining out is still somewhat cloudy.
I am on Zyvox, which is effective against MRSA, through Sunday.
I am hoping that I’ll be out of the woods by then. Please continue to pray that the infection would be completely beat and the drainage would become clear and finally stop. I have some minor discomfort but nothing compared to the pain an infection like that can cause.
Thanks again for all the prayers that carried me through this experience and thanks to God for His sustaining grace.

Please keep praying for the discomfort from the swelling where the infection was. It’s still very tender and becomes quite sore occassionally.
All that swelling can become quite painful.

I contacted MRSA during my stay in the hosptial, also. Quarantined for it. If they can't keep hospitals clean now, I'd hate to think if obamacare isn't repealed - what they'll be like.
Mine was following a long stay in the hospital, yours as as an outpatient. Seems no one has a chance!
