Ah. Okay. Thought there was a deeper point. No worries, carry on. :)

My strongest prayer is that I be considered a raving kook ten years from now, in a strong, prosperous and free America.

Just so.

And I hate to say "Me too", but "Me too".

I just read this while sitting in my office. People stopped by and asked what news story I was reading that had me griping at the computer. Good stuff. Good enough to get my blood pressure rising.

I read all your books and have now circulated copies amongst my friends and families. Most are taken aback by your writing, in a good way. Keep up the good work.

I love this story for the following reasons:

1) Brevity. Brevity is, indeed, the soul of wit. Most people write like they talk — to hear themselves. This is the ADD generation, and you are looking at the ADD king. Hey!...Let's go ride our bikes!

2) Identification. You brought us into the mind of an unrepentant American communist, and the things she thought were believable for that sort of person.

3) Happy ending. I love apocalypse fiction — I'm into the 28 days s series lately, but Walking Dead is a favorite.... yet, every now and again I love to read a story in which things end on a positive note.

I set off the fourth reason I like this piece, because there's nothing you can do about, it's innate to you. It is this: The writing is gripping. It grabs you and keeps you. That is a skill you either have, or do not have. There is no ability to ‘develop’ this skill. You have it.

That's when we began to hear of "The Militia of One."

You reminded me of a comment of mine from earlier in the year.

And that's enough writing for me on this, this day.

Thanks for spreading word about the story. My goal is to get it over to the libtard sites such as Daily Beast and Wonkette, that have attacked my novels and essays before.

This story is not for the conservative choir, but the oblivious libtards.

I have been working hard at the craft side of writing for a decade now, so I’m glad it shows.

Thanks for all your engaging sagas. I read a review “when you read the trilogy, you will never be the same” true for me.
Also good choice of a handle, I believe I read all the John D McDonald novels, there is a lot of humanity in the Travis McGee persona.
Drive On!

What makes this piece so riveting, is that a scenario very similar to this one could actually occur. Very well written.

When I picked the TM screen name, it was a few years before I wrote my first novel. I enjoy the fact that folks casually scanning the page will see the name and remember the great J.D. MacDonald and his body of work.

Matt, a great story (as if anyone would expect anything different from you).

“This story is not for the conservative choir, but the oblivious libtards.”

You’re just being an honest rattlesnake, trying to warn the idiot coming a little too close that he’s about to make a big mistake. No harm in that; quite a bit of good, actually. Similar in nature to Sipsey Street Irregulars, where the objective is to get the statists to back the F off of destroying our liberties before they push too far and create some very nasty pushback.

Thanks much, keep up the good work.

It’s all psyops until the shooting starts. And even then.

I hope that anybody thinking about an SNA decapitation coup will think twice after reading this story.
