I feel like I ought to start out each of my articles anymore with a disclaimer, or caveat saying something along the lines of “WARNING: The contents of this article are to be considered null and void in the event of a “Reichstag Fire,” false flag event, and/or an invasion by Russian Spetsnaz in collusion with Northcom,“or words to that effect.
My intent is not to make light of such concerns, as God knows we have reason enough to be more than a bit edgy these days—what with the Patriot Act, NDAA, the torrent of Obama EOs (Executive Orders), various government agencies stockpiling millions of rounds of ammo, and other such things.
Personally, I am what you might call a cynical optimist—I hope for the best, but plan for the worst. I keep myself open to the idea that the US can peacefully pull itself out of the colossal mess that it is currently mired in—but I have enough guns, ammo, freeze dried food and whatnot to open a small survivalist store.
Be that as it may—the main topic that I wish to address in this article is my decision to back the Romney/Ryan ticket, and the fallout from that. Contrary to what some of you may think, I have not rushed off and enlisted in the “Dark Side.” I am as opposed to the Big Bank/ Big Corporation/Big Government/Big War cabal as ever...

Your ridiculous misuse of scripture to apply it to how I choose to cast my vote is on the same level as Satan using it to tempt Jesus. Romney's record of supporting those sins anathema to Christianity you can dress up and justify by the misuse of scripture all the day long. You might deceive others who are not as studied in the bible - but you won't deceive me.

Since misapplication of scripture seems appropriate to you, I'll respond in kind:

That cited, the bible is replete with examples of God's people being given over to evil rulers because of the sinful cultures that the Israelites compromised themselves with. Obama and Romney are a reflection of a similar compromised culture. Sad that people like you are so insistent that the few of us who refuse to bow to your idol will do so. But there is nothing new under the sun.
Mitt Romney may be a Mormon, he may be an adherent of a religion which is not totally based upon God's Word. He may be a liberal.
I do not oppose Romney on the basis of his doctrinal beliefs. I oppose Romney because of his record, and what he and his Ruling Class handlers HAVE DONE. You are welcome to continue being the battered wife. I'm done with them.

I know that it was God's Will to let Israel choose wicked rulers for itself, and gave them over to reprobate and debased minds that led to God allowing them to be destroyed and taken into captivity for their collective national sins.
I do not accept that it is God's will for us to violate His Commandments and His laws and our principles to vote for anyone whose records and actions, support, sanction and promotion of sin and beliefs antithetical to my liberty and my faith. Obama and Romney are both antithetical to everything I hold to.

George who? I don’t care who you met. I met Mitt Romney a couple of years ago when he came to speak at our state convention. Didn’t like him much, but I am an anyone but Obama voter, who knows the danger that Obama poses for this country and knows that Romney and Ryan will be better.

The financial scales are more well balanced than most folks realize.
I'm a pastor. It's my duty to stand up for what is right and remind brethren of the same in accordance with the scriptures. You may not like that and ascribe what I state openly to be moral superiority, but that would be the searing of your own conscience that knee jerks your hostility towards anyone standing up for their principles and liberties.
Whatever you people think is going to happen I'd still encourage you to prepare to impeach whichever one wins ~ and within a couple of days. You don't want them to get complacent.
Still, the best bet is send this to the House. To do that we need them both to be less than half the electoral vote. That gives another vote to some other guy. Try out those unused parts of the Constitution ~ good time to do that.
Oh ok Preacher. So I guess that means you won’t be putting in any good words for me with the Lord tonight eh?
