Met George once ~ all by accident. He'd made an appearance at Indiana University. I missed the event although given my major at the time I probably should have gone to his lecture.

As usual his guards always had him enter and exit any public building through the secret entrance.

As it turned out I was facing the door to the secret exit just as he and a couple of his guards popped out.

He was startled. So were they.

So was I

Then one day at work Jesse Jackson was being interviewed by PBS ~ which had quarters in our building.

He and his entourage got lost on exiting the building and they all ended up standing around my desk. BTW, my baby brother, who had a long target range, managed to urinate in Nixon's shoe as we were waiting in a line to meet him.

I met Nixon in later years when he escorted Coucuescu out to meet a bunch of federal employees (usual treat for visiting foreign heads of state ~ meet government employees ~ wow! ~secret is out).

And you are afraid of these guys who run for President?

So sorry for you ~ around here they're a dime a dozen ~ none of them very attractive.

George who? I don’t care who you met. I met Mitt Romney a couple of years ago when he came to speak at our state convention. Didn’t like him much, but I am an anyone but Obama voter, who knows the danger that Obama poses for this country and knows that Romney and Ryan will be better.
