Sensing the political firestorm coming, democrats scrambled to insert God and Jerusalem back into their platform, having intially rejecting them.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Needled by Mitt Romney and other Republicans, Democrats hurriedly rewrote their convention platform Wednesday to add a mention of God and declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel after President Barack Obama intervened to order the changes.The embarrassing reversal was compounded by chaos and uncertainty on the convention floor, requiring three votes before a ruling that the amendments had been approved. Many in the audience booed the decision.
The episode exposed tensions on Israel within the party, put Democrats on the defensive and created a public relations spectacle as Obama arrived in the convention city to claim his party's nomination for a second term.
The language in the party platform — a political document — does not affect actual U.S. policy toward Israel. The administration has long said that determining Jerusalem's status is an issue that should be decided in peace talks by Israelis and Palestinians.
Obama intervened directly to get the language changed both on Jerusalem and to reinstate God in the platform, according to campaign officials who insisted on anonymity to describe behind-the-scenes party negotiations. They said Obama's reaction to the omission of God from the platform was to wonder why it was removed in the first place.
Lederman and Pace may have Obama wondering why the language was removed in the first place, but Obama apparently did know about it and raised no objection.

And even then, it had to be forced through a convention hall full of delegates who nearly shouted down the change.
This wasn't done out of any belief system. democrats at the convention booed the change and they have made it clear that they want nothing to do with God or Israel.

Crazy good headline and scary that it is completely accurate. Team Obama counts on people not connecting the dots - look at the parallel between the OWS movement at the German brownshirts from 80 years ago, e.g. It isn’t some coincidence that they were booing God and Israel last night.
Except The Nazi party didn’t have eighty percent of Jews promising to vote for it no matter what.

They think by inserting them at the last second makes everything OK. It actually makes everything FAR WORST FOR THEM.
Americans never again have to ask how a free German people could have ELECTED Adolph Hitler as Chancellor of Germany in 1933 despite all the warnings. The American voters did the same in 2008 by electing Obama.
The difference being is that Hitler was so adept at taking control of the population so quickly through power, intimidation and fear.
The Nazis had God as part of their party platform.

If he somehow wins (and it will be only my subterfuge if he wins)...those who love freedom and God must go underground. They must hide their movement.
The battle front for humanity will have made a seismic shift.
Now we must defeat those in the minority who wish to enslave us. We must once again defeat a new King George.
We must not for a moment consider that Obama is the leader of this effort...he is, so far, a puppet. Unless and until, of course, he rises above his current puppet status as result of a new "possession" of this vessel known as Barry Soetoro.
We must be alert to signs of his transformation.
There were, however significant numbers of influential Jews, nationalistic ones who had served in WWI (Iron Cross, brave German Jews) who then served in the Freikorps and Berlin police and elsewhere in the country. These people believed in what was to happen for nationalistic reasons— and only later realized (much too late) what was in store for them.
One could almost believe this today, if somehow the dems could contrive to make being a liberal a nationalistic patriotic move (like getting us into a war— like FDR did). This is how it’s done. Appalling really.

It gives me the willies. And from what I have read Jewish leftists did not catch on to serious danger of Hitler until it was too late. :(
What happened to that “never forget!” promise? Obama is serious. He really does not want Israel to exist in the globalists’ planned Islam area of the world.
