After Clint at the RNC, There's Only One Question Left to Ask Obama: "Well, do ya', punk?"
Michelle Obama's Mirror ^ | 8-31-2012 | MOTUS

I’ll get to Clint in a minute.

First, an important announcement: The R2 Team has officially embraced Alinsky’s Rules as their own! Who knew they had it in them?

It seemed as though everyone spent an inordinate amount of time last night practicing Rule #5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” Take Marco for example:

Under Barack Obama, the only “Change” is that “Hope” has been hard to find(snip)

Hope and Change has become Divide and Conquer. (snip)

Just who does that little whippersnapper think he is, ridiculing HOPE and CHANGE like that?

As for Mitt himself...ridiculing Big Guy. Who knew he had it in him?

President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans. (MUFFLED LAUGHTER) And heal the planet. (MORE LAUGHTER) MY promise...is to help you and your family...every president since the Great Depression...could look back at the last four years and say with satisfaction: "you are better off today than you were four years ago."

Except Jimmy Carter. And except this president.(snip)

I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began with an apology tour.

Okay then, we’re up to Clint Eastwood...His appearance incorporated many of Alinsky Rules including parts of Rule #3 (Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy) and #6 (A good tactic is one that your people enjoy) butt relied primarily on good old #5 (Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon).

For those ridiculing Clint today...allow me to pass on this explanation (h/t Madame deFarge): “his delivery combined Columbo, Will Rogers with a little Bob Newhart thrown in to reduce Barry to the twit he is.” ...

It is sometimes important in waging war to make common cause with those you otherwise would not ally yourself with in better times.

Churchill was crticized for his efforts with Russia and said in answer, “If Hitler invaded Hell, I would at least make a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons”.

+1

This speech set a nerve in leftists like I’ve not seen in a long time. My token leftist Facebook friends are all outraged — I think genuinely so, not the faux recreational outrage that usually accompanies when they’re trying to smear someone with racism or whatever.

Hmmmmmmm.

Was the teleprompter actually for the empty chair and not for "Harry"?

An empty chair represents the Incompetent One perfectly.

An empty chair is a perfect representation of the entire Democrat Party...perhaps said chair should replace the donkey as the symbol of the Dem party...

Bravo to all your comments! The wisdom of the older Clint Eastwood along with the obvious stage prop have completely baffled the TOTUS and the media. When Clint said ‘this is our country’ and ‘you work for us’, the message really hit hard for some people. The bottom line is that what has been happening has not worked for most people and even the people who supported BS in the last election should realize that someone else needs to come and fix this.

They know when they’ve taken a real hit. That’s exactly why the MSM is up in arms. But not only that, it’s deflected their set-point criticism of Romney. Now, with his traveling to LA today, and forcing Obama to fly there on Monday, the campaign is staying one step ahead of both Obama and the MSM. I love the smell of napalm in the morning...

“And why are FREEPERS supporting him?”

This FREEPER is supporting both Eastwood and Romney....because

Ya haf to unnerstand the Dems see politics as a broken-bottle, knife and gun, bar-room brawl...in other words “war” for survival...

In the words of one helluva an American

“As you know, you go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.”

Donald Rumsfeld

I may not agree much with Romney ....but unlike Obama, he DOES have the executive skills and experience to get the job done.

I sure do wish it’d been Palin , however..

Thanks. Eastwood accomplished all that and more. Today he’s the talk of the town. The fact it’s highly critical is irrelevant. That’s only petulance and overreaction because they know they took a big hit.

But he’s deflected their after-convention attack on Romney, and now Romney is on his way to LA to visit the flood damaged areas with Bobby Jindal. When Obama had no plans to do so...up until this morning when his administration announced he will visit the area Monday. An announcement that came out after Romney’s visit became public. Ya gotta just love this.

Well when I see the Conservatives endorsing the most liberal candidate in the history of the party that is bad. When I see an actor from hollywood who is for abortion and gay marriage and I see the conservative showing love that is bad. When I see conservatives bashing a VERY conservative Senator nominee to a pulp that is very bad. I am disgusted and repulsed by what I am seeing from supposed conservatives. Frustrated and bitter....well look at the disaster that is the Republican party.

I don’t believe the teleprompter was broken. I think is was all staged. And I doubt Eastwood thought of it all by himself and I’m sure his performance was vetted and approved by the campaign.

“This chair’s taken?” That shows it really got under his skin. What I’m waiting for is Biden’s retarded response.

While the Secretary of War(wife) was out this AM I was free to turn to the rancid MSM.
The teleprompter readers were quoting the same talking points and really missed the point of the EMPTY CHAIR! Stupid knows no bounds!
William Munny ( a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition.)
could have used a empty suit on a clothes hanger, just as well!

This coming from a person who thought the “I am a witch” commerical was brilliant.

You have me confused with someone else. What I DID think was brilliant was Clint Eastwood's use of an empty chair.

Clint intimated that Obama and the democrat party are a NATIONAL DISGRACE.

“So I — so I’ve got Mr. Obama sitting here. And he’s — I was going to ask him a couple of questions. But — you know about — I remember three and a half years ago, when Mr. Obama won the election. And though I was not a big supporter, I was watching that night when he was having that thing and they were talking about hope and change and they were talking about, yes we can, and it was dark outdoors, and it was nice, and people were lighting candles.

They were saying, I just thought, this was great. Everybody is trying, Oprah was crying.

I was even crying. And then finally — and I haven’t cried that hard since I found out that there is 23 million unemployed people in this country.

Now that is something to cry for because that is a disgrace, a national disgrace, and we haven’t done enough, obviously — this administration hasn’t done enough to cure that.”

Well put. I see your points.

I think we are all - in varying degrees - frustrated and unhappy.
