Agreed. I wasn’t sure where it was going at first, or if it was going to get anywhere at all. Then it built, and built, and was funny as hell, ending at a crescendo. Perhaps the first laugh I’ve had in this political season.
I was a bit sad to see him look so old, but that is what happens with those who are tough enough to survive.
It was good, and left wing yelps of pain prove that it was effective.
We all know he is the intellect of the Democratic Party.

You can’t really what you saw. The man is an actor, a great actor and a director, a great director. He knows about performing and setting up the performance. He knows about being a character, of making everything up.
What he did was to provide classic Shakespearean comic relief. It was all a terrific bit of writing, acting and directing.
