Akin: Hyenas in the GOP ignore medical science, eat their own
Rightly Concered Blog on American Family Association ^ | 8/22/2012 | Bryan Fischer

The slavering, slobbering hyenas in the Republican party, by tearing at the flesh of their own senatorial candidate Todd Akin, are doing their best to blow their shot at taking control of the Senate. By eating their own, they are consuming themselves. And they seem too brainless to know it.

If he loses this race, it will be the fault of party poobahs, not Todd Akin. One of the party leaders actually suggested last night that the GOP try to run a third-party challenge to their own candidate. That would be a certifiably guaranteed way to forfeit victory to the opposition.

Akin’s words, for which he apologized even though he had no need to, were right. He was entirely correct to say that pregnancies in cases of forcible rape are rare.

He did not, by the way, say that pregnancy was impossible in rape, just rare.

How about the New York Times, the Bible of [left-wingers]? “Lowering Stress Improves Fertility Treatment.”

Said Dr. Domar, “If you’re really stressed out and depressed, the body seems to sense that’s not a good time to get pregnant.” Hmm. Sound suspiciously like the body shutting down, no?

Todd Akin uses one word that was grossly misinterpreted by his enemies, and the members of his own party throw his carcass to the jackals.

Now that Akin has decided to stay in...as he should, ignoring the hysterical bellows and the pitchforks, the ruling class Republicans will have to eat some crow and reverse themselves by resuming support for Akin’s candidacy. Certainly they cannot be so stupid as to commit hari-kiri by withholding help because they’re in some kind of snit. Can they?

The lesson from all of this: if you’re a Republican, and you want a friend in the party, you’d better buy a dog.

I'm honestly shocked by the willingness of conservatives to turn their back on their own rather risk ridicule in the defense of a true statement. I suspect it's moral cowardous, regardless we are lapping up red-herring laced vomit like leftists.

1. Pregnancy due to rape is extremely rare, and with proper treatment can be prevented. Studies conducted by Planned Parenthood's Guttmacher Institute indicate that two consenting and fertile adults have only a 3 percent chance of pregnancy from an act of intercourse. They also indicate there are factors involved in a rape which further reduce these chances for rape victims [1]. The Guttmacher Institute says 14,000 [2] abortions per year are due to rape or incest, which amounts to just over 1 percent of all abortions [3]. Other studies show that pregnancies due to rape are much rarer than is generally thought, perhaps as few as one in a thousand cases [4]. Furthermore, since conception doesn't occur immediately after intercourse, pregnancy can be prevented in the great majority of rape cases by medical treatment that removes the semen before an ovum can be fertilized [5].

So where does the misconception come from that many pregnancies are due to rape? Fearful young women will sometimes attribute their pregnancies to rape, since doing so gains sympathy and avoids condemnation. The young woman called "Roe" in the famous Roe v. Wade case-who elicited sympathy in the court and media because she claimed to be a rape victim-years later admitted she had lied and had not been raped at all [6].

Now that LIBERAL on your forehead is throbbing and flashing like a neon sign.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Is that what Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz recommended be your response?

Buy One Clue

What you apparently don’t get (speaking of a clue) is that every time you open your mouth (type on your keyboard) you give away your Liberal disposition. There are no “moderate” Republicans (they merely lack the courage to admit they are Liberal Wealth Distributors), and you demonstrate that fact by being a walking encyclopedia of Liberal talking points. You could not have better illustrated my point had I bribed you to do so.

Akin’s gaff was the occasion for me to observe (#28) that the Republican Establishment objective was to refuse Akin the support they never intended him anyway. This rather innocuous observation was apparently sufficient to launch you into a frenzied diatribe of Liberal fulminations about “truthers,” demonstrating your inability to tolerate any idea contrary to your view that Conservatives cannot be allowed in the party (save perhaps their vote and their money). Apparently you are unable to tolerate the sharing of power with Conservatives, although you are quite comfortable in the company of extremists who want to engage in a massive redistribution of American wealth. At least, you’ve demonstrated a fondness for the same sort of extremist language and judgmentalism current with their disreputable behavior, so why would anyone think any the better of you than that.

Again . . . you really need to go back to DU and advertise for some better ideas.

"I was right, you are delusional."

So you assert. The assertion does not prove the fact. You've made the assertion, but you can't prove the fact.

As with all Liberals, following your initial scandal mongering, you are reduce to nothing more than, "Oh, Yeah! Oh, Yeah! Well . . . well . . . well . . . So's your old man

Pathetic.

You first contacted me. Don't start something you can't finish . . . Bud.

As for being done . . . you were before you ever begun.

I finished this three, four or five Posts ago. Really can’t recall. If I responded to you first, my apologies. Really don’t remember. Sorry to waste your time, and mine.

It’s been fun, but I think you and I have nothing constructive to say to each other.

I wish you a good evening.
