Noodlin or grappling catfish may sound weid to those afraid to do it, but its an old traditional way to feed ones family.

Personally, the thought of “feeling” a water moccasin turned me away. Its a sport requiring brass ones! Those TV noodliers are written in to look weird and super hicks, most actual practiciners are serious about it, not at all like the fake-o reality TV shows.

Someone mention running into an alligator down there, and that would be a possibility, but I thought like you, being bitten in the face by a water moccasin when you came up. Not a sport for me or mine.
