Someone also mentioned on another thread to have small bills and change saved up. May not help if the currency collapses, but I’m doing it anyhow. Not everything we do will work out as planned or be necessary, but I’m doing everything I can that makes sense to me.
I am saving small change myself for two reasons. First the metal value and two if the SHTF and I do have the chance to make any last minute purchases I can pay cash, but anyone watch would figure I am paying with ‘piggy bank’ money and I wouldn’t be worth the trouble to rob or extort money from.
