Romney is stuck at dead center in the Opinion Polls. In order to move the Romney poll needle in a positive direction, why not encourage timid Mitty Romney to SEAL his Federal and State Tax Records when he announces who his Veep will be?
In this way Romney would be calling Obama's Bluff, something that Obama has warned others not to do.
The Veep announcement and the Sealing of Romney's tax records would give The Media a double surprise at a time of maximum Media audience.
Sunday talk shows would then be forced to talk about Obama's sealed School and other records.
BTW, the newly chosen Veep should seal ALL of his Tax AND School records.
Personally Romney is not my first (R) choice, but I will support his right to privacy. He has produced the tax returns required to meet Federal election requirements.
NO Pundit has any right to keep spewing the BS that he needs to produce any additional tax returns.

Instead, Romney should say this, at every opportunity: I believe in transparency, and I believe in fair play. I will release all my records - school, draft, and tax - they same day Obama releases all of his.
My dislike and distrust of Romney has NOTHING to do with his wealth. IT is his liberal methodology for explaining and defending the idea that wealth accumulation is what creates jobs NOT government.
The whole creation of OccupyWallStreet was set in motion to necklace around Romney from the beginning.... AND Romney says he ran his company just like Obama bailed out the auto industry. Well, duh on him, his hole he dug all by himself trying to seduce those coveted swaying in the wind, independents.
Liberals have a long documented history of data mining to be used at the most opportune time. October surprises a week before the election. Somebody already has Romney's tax returns, it is all about goading Romney over what they consider to be his weak link to those so called Independents.
We are just going to have to ride this circus out and watch these spoiled brats fling baby food at each other. Remember, regardless of what it literally means to be conservative and principled, (some need to slur US for being what they consider dirty, PURISTS) we morals voters are expected to shut up and support whatever the immoral GOP-e serves up and bend our knees to their golden bull.

If I was romney, and thank G-d I’m not, I would print out ten years worth of tax returns, stack them in front of me, and say flat out, “Here they are. You want them? I’ll trade them to any reporter who can produce obama’s sealed transcripts.”
Only implying the topic of “sealing” would be the buzz word which finally would bring up obama’s sealing of his past.
At this point, as many have suggested, Romney should only release his taxes when obama releases his SEALED records.

Howard Dean had all of his records as Gov. of VT sealed and he almost won the Dem nomination. The left never squeaked a word about that. Those would be slightly more relevant than tax records wouldn’t they?
There really isn't enough bandwidth to cover it.

Don't confuse it with an actual issue either. What someone pays in taxes is no ones bloody business. It's one of those 'private' things between the person and the IRS...or at least it's SUPPOSED TO BE.

We're all po'd at our idiot 'leaders', and I think the blatant LACK of leadership is one of the things that upsets us most of all.
Who knows? Maybe all this energy will finally snowball into the enema our government so desperately needs!
