The news from the Caribou Coffee emails has centered almost exclusively around the likely illegal acts by the White House to conduct lobbying offsite to deceive and subvert lobbying disclosure laws. Thats bad. But White House lobbying at Caribou Coffee isn’t the most criminal of the email disclosures. What is much more damning to me is this excerpt from those emails:
I will roll [P]elosi to get the 4 billion,
Messina told Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America lobbyist Jeffrey Forbes. As you may have heard I am literally rolling over the house. But there just isnt 8-10 billion.
Aside from the preventative Pepto-Bismol prescription one might need to sequester thoughts of what rolling Pelosi might entail, there are far more insidious issues to consider from this revelation.
First, was the unelected White House chief of staff actually negotiating legislation and dictating to an elected member of Congress what they were to write in the bill? Rolling at least where I grew up in Chicago was a term used for roughing up a mark in a robbery. I would think even some San Francisco liberals might be upset to know their facelift Barbie was taking orders not just from a DC bureaucrat, but from representatives of Big Pharma.

Some times I’ve wondered why Congress and Big Medicine are so Quiet about the health care take over. This shows why...They are either involved or are hoping to get money and/or power for them selves. Good Post “jb”
Roll her in WHAT??!?
Sounds a little too dicey for me.
A wheel barrow full of viagra wouldnt get me to “roll” that.Man, I’m gonna have nightmares of that stretchformed skin letting go in the middle of the night.A levy breaking pales in comparison.
I wouldn’t touch Pelousy with a 4 billion foot roll.
Thanks rightjb.
