Two men stand nose-to-nose, holding hands and gazing lovingly into each other's eyes. The caption on the ad reads: "Be yourself, together. Build a Target wedding gift registry as unique as the two of you."

Let’s JCPenny them. No more shopping for me from Target Stores.
I have never shopped there. I don’t feel I have missed anything.
Better yet. How about a class action lawsuit by Americans for trying to fill the minds of our children with sexual deviancy.
here in Somerset County...
all we have is WAL MART!!!!
NO TARGET NEAR OR CLOSE TO HERE...SO VERY, VERY SELDOM SHOP THERE, BUT WILL NOW MAKE SURE I NEVER DO...
I don’t care who they promote. That’s their tough luck in the long run.
I do care that their store is getting worse all the time. They don’t carry enough choices. This is a ‘SUPER STORE’ mind you.
Everytime I go there I cuss myself for giving in but It’s only couple blocks away and it has (forgive me, I’m hooked) a Starbucks. I like to drink and shop.
But it’s getting so not worth it.
Walmart little box is closer but doesn’t have the ambience, but I do get most everything I need there.
This will encourage me to go to Tom Thumb, which also has a SB, next closest but higher prices.
PS I’m working on making my own drink at home, but it’s just not the same and that machine scares the hell out of me.
thats the point isnt it, chick owner just stated what he believe..he did not advocate anything ..but Target is.
A few years ago I was there and they had a promo for Hunchback Mountain. It was bad enough hearing it, and then, at the end, they called it a “love story”. I was going to blast them in an E-Mail, but was not able to find a way, at that time.
Wow. Hey guys? Ever hear of Chick-fil-A?
If Kohl’s pulls this shit I don’t know what I’m going to do.
#10 — Amen!
Not the point of the posting but why was the word “discount” included in the title, I wonder? Does the author think everything is cheap (including morals, I agree) at Target?
I am all for these types of ads. Lots of people who say they are for gay marriage never really see it for what it is and the more the media tries to normalize it the more obvious it becomes to everyone that it is not normal. It is rather sad and pathetic to see the eager look on the shorter guys face.
Haven’t shopped at Target in a very long time and I’m still under the assumption that it’s a discount chain. The fact that they have a Wedding Registry however does lead me to believe that they’ve gone more upscale since I shopped there over a decade ago.
Home Depot has a wedding registry.
Hate to tell ya but JCP ran gay fathers day ads.
I’ve avoided them ever since they banned the Marines’ Toys for Tots program.
You’re using the word in the same way. I’m still wondering — discount from WHAT? Much of Target’s merchandise is made to the chain’s specifications and is not available anywhere else. And the commodity stuff seems ordinarily priced to me, like anywhere. So where’s the discount? I don’t get it.
How special! Glad I stopped patronizing them when their other pro-homo stuff became known to me.
