“The REALITY Is: Today’s Conservative Optimism is a Delusion! “

In the words of Reagan:

“Awwww shut up”

If you think it is all over then quit your job, give away all of your stuff, and go live in the woods.

You certainly have no reason to be goofing around on the internet.

Oh Geeze, thanks for the article, Mr. Happy.

The Roberts ruling was NOT good for the conservatives but it wasn’t the end of the world. There are still things we can do.

I’m glad some of the gloom-and-doom conservatives (Mr, fisherman) weren’t in the army with George Washington. He lost battles time after time after time and yet defeated the most powerful military in the world (at the time) with passionate, determined, smart patriots. We don’t give up – the Libs certainly don’t. We have to fight to the finish for conservatism.

Read this article about the Roberts ruling. It may help you feel better:

http://washingtonexaminer.com/randy-barnett-says-roberts-tax-power-argument-is-lame-but-easily-fixed/article/2501028

Donate to some of the conservatives who have a decent chance of beating a Dem.

Please, anyone thinking of voting for Gary Johnson RETHINK your decision. Yep, I’m not happy either with Romney but gone are the days of electing anyone and not being “all over” their every move and decision. VIGILANCE ! We are going to make him(Romney) govern as a conservative, one way or another.. same with a Republican congress.

Voting for a 3rd party is being a baby.

“Wah, wah, wah, my candidate didn’t win so I’m not going to vote for who did win.”

Grow the F*** up. This is war, not middle school.

Still a bit of rope left, so let's not give it all up now. We still haven't entered the End Times 9or the Bible and its scholars have sadly misjudged the sequence/time-frame of the events), but we are definitley seeing signs. Many will continue to become martyrs by doing what they can to see Romney fail and to elevate Obama to supreme dictator, but we need to follow Christ's footsteps - even He lost it and trashed the tables of the hypocritical money changers and todays politicians are nothing more than that.

They now want to study the "radicalization of Christians" and I respond, "Onward Christian Soldiers!".

Let's all embrace Socialism or better yet Communism over the US Constitution. We will all be better off under Godless Democrats and Progressives.

Prophetically speaking, we are now positioned in the time leading up to the great climactic outworking of history: the War of all the Ages with Lucifer and his demonic horde pitted against the Eternal Sovereignty and Reign of Almighty God (Isaiah 14:12-17, Ezekiel 28:12-19).

That war has been going on for a long time.

Lo, the conflict of the ages is upon us today,
And the armies are assembling all in battle array;
Are you numbered with the faithful, one of God’s loyal few,
Who have sworn Him full allegiance? can He count upon you?

Catch the vision of a lost world going downward in sin,
While the Master’s great commission long unheeded has been;
See the children of the kingdom joined in heart and in hand,
Pressing forward in the struggle to redeem this fair land.

Have your eyes caught the vision?
Have your hearts felt the thrill?
To the call of the Master do you answer, "I will"?
For the conflict of the ages, told by prophets and by sages,
In its fury is upon us, is upon us today.

The problem here is that the vast majority of Christianity is very optimistic. Only offshoots like Calvinism embrace pessimism.

Likewise, Judaism tends to an odd sort of pessimism of an almost Asiatic variety. And it and Christianity do not mesh well because this fundamental difference runs so deep that it even includes their interpretations of human history.

A good way to describe the Jewish view is as a sine wave. When times are very bad for the Jews, their inclination is to become more religious, moral and righteous, and because of this they are rewarded with better times, increased prosperity and well being. But when times are good, they stray from their faith, lose their moral underpinnings and misbehave, which leads to their downfall and punishment.

This leads to a pessimistic outlook, because if times are good, despair, oppression and poverty is just around the corner.

Using the same model, however, Christianity is like a sawtooth wave. Their view of history is that, left to our own devices, mankind will invariably degenerate into a moral cesspool. But when we are at a low ebb, a great spiritual leader, like the Biblical patriarchs and even Jesus, comes along and very abruptly elevates mankind to a great spiritual and moral height.

This lends itself to great optimism, as the worse things get, the closer mankind is to having a great spiritual revival. It even reaches a point that before the greatest of all spiritual evolutions, even mankind is not debauched enough to descend so low, that a powerful, unearthly and evil being will drive us all down into the basement.

So how does this relate to conservative optimism?

Conservatives are optimistic because they temper their optimism with realism. They reject idealistic perfectionism on Earth, as well as the efforts by the left to achieve it.

The left screams that (to quote Josef Stalin), “You can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs.”

But conservatives point out that vast numbers of eggs can be broken and still not make an omelet, because that is the left’s entire recipe, to break eggs.

That, combined with the fact that those leftists that embrace the international socialism movement are inherently anti-national sovereign, anti-patriotic, and are opposed to any unique American culture, provides more than adequate motivation for conservatives to both oppose them and be optimistic.

Because leftists are ignorant, naive and ineffectual. They can only tear down, they cannot create, because they are fools.

We need to look to history before thinking about a third party candidate.
Flash back 1992, Bush v Clinton, nobody was happy with that pairing and with the MSM hyping “Read my lips” and the Ross Perot pie charts we wound up with Billy Jeff for 8 years.
The dims are very good at looking to history, understanding what happened and tweaking that outcome to manipulate the future.
Our October surprise will be an “almost charismatic” (which Ross wasn’t) third party candidate that will be used to split the conservative and the independent votes. (something H Ross could not do).
