No, clothes I won’t wear are clothes I won’t wear, the specifics of the clothing are besides the point. I was giving you a real world example to back up my statement. If my company went to mandatory thongs I’d leave, but that’s unlikely to happen in the software business. But what HAS existed in the software business is mandatory ties, which I also won’t wear, and I have specifically avoided working in those environments.

It’s really not that tough a concept. Companies are free to spawn dress codes and uniforms, and employees are free to say “I ain’t wearing that” and leave. The specifics of what they won’t were don’t matter in the discussion, the concepts remain identical with thongs, ties or sweater vests.
