This is a Civil War, between an oppressive regime - and Muslim fanatics. These folk live to kill, and anyone foolish to get involved will just add to the lists of the dead.

What national interests are served by throwing our best and bravest into this meat grinder? Do you think for an instant that both sides won’t immediately turn on the USA, and blame everything that happens on us? From the Muslim mind, which is more evil, a regime that tortures and kills it’s citizens, or the Great Satan? (Hint: us).

Let them kill each other - let them utterly destroy themselves; this is apparently what passes for ‘civilization’ in this part of the world. This is what they want, this is what they export, this is their way of life. Let them have a merry old time, so that our troops can live a long and healthy life. Some folks are not worth saving - and IMHO, Muslims fit firmly into this mindset.

When Syria starts tapping the old chemical warfare storage, you'll know things are getting serious there. Right now, this is just the pre-party, the guests of honor haven't even arrived yet.

I think we've done enough nation building this century - someone else can go play in the sandbox if they like; most I want to send over there is a special delivery via ICBM.

Ah, let Russia handle this one. They did so well in Afghanistan and spent so much in human life and money it was a win win for the West.

One thing for sure, O’Blame-o and Hillary, stay the hell out of it.

The death toll is about to reach 17,000 in #Syria. Forget politics and motives...

///
1) what is the death toll in Mexico? 40,000 ?
but i don’t see any international outcry...
2) death tolls in Libya, were vastly inflated and lied about, by Islamists, just as in Kosovo.
3) Only one side, in Syria, is turning tens of thousands of Christians into refugees... and killings ones who stay.
4) Al-Queda and Obama want to get rid of Assad. Christians in Syria support him.

Obama’s Muslim Adviser: Assad Too Soft on Israel

A Muslim adviser to U.S. President Barack Obama warned in a post on the Twitter social networking site last week that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad can’t deliver ‘resistance to Israel.’
The adviser, Egyptian-born Dalia Mohaded, is employed in the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, at the White House.
The tweet, posted on March 10 and picked up by the media watchdog Jihadwatch, read as follows:
“To those siding w/Assad: he cannot deliver stability, protection of minorities, or resistance to Israel.
