An interesting question. I hate to keep anyone up nights worrying, but Dick Morris came up with an intriguing thought a couple of days ago. Despite his lack of predictive accuracy, he does have insights into the Clintonian mind. He thinks Bill misses the Presidency desperately, and considers Obama a bungling amateur who endangers the Democrat Party.
Bill's put himself back in the public eye, Morris thinks, both to undermine Obama's campaign and to put himself in contention as the 2016 nominee since he's now eligible to run again. At first I dismissed the idea as another of Morris's wild conjectures but there's a certain kind of logic to it. I'm watching Bill's behavior very carefully.
BILL CLINTON eligible to run again? What? He served two terms, he can’t run again. Did you mean Hillary?
Bill has already been elected president twice. He’s not eligible to run again. The 22nd amendment limits presidents to being elected twice.
But, I certainly see that Bill misses the limelight. So he’s getting out there to attract attention to himself.
