Tom Hoefling: "I will shut down every abortion facility in the country"
Tom Hoefling for President 2012 ^ | June 11, 2012 | Tom Hoefling

Posted on 06/11/2012 9:17:17 AM PDT by EternalVigilance

"All officers of government in this country, in every branch, at every level, have as the first obligation of their sacred oath the protection of all innocent lives within their jurisdiction.

Should I be elected to the office of President of the United States, I will keep my oath.

Justice Blackmun, in Roe vs. Wade, admitted that “of course” the child in the womb is protected by the Fourteenth Amendment, if they are a person.

Since it is self-evident that they are a person, my first act as President, after having sworn the oath, will be to publish a presidential finding to that effect.

My second act will be to ask for the resignation of anyone in the executive branch who will not act accordingly.

My third act will be to order the closing of every abortion facility in the country, as per the explicit, imperative requirement of the Supreme Law of the Land.

'No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.'

'No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.'”

So.. you pick out one instance so all abortion clinics are the same as the article?

If I had the time, I could append the list in an alarming fashion. All over the country.

BTW; I have always been against abortion.

Actually, based on your post #169 it sounds like you don't care about abortion at all.

>>To end my confusion, you are claiming that you don’t jump on threads like this very one, to promote voting for Mitt Romney, and that your posting history that I am reading does not reflect that?<<

Nope, I don’t jump (I respond like everyone else, it’s a forum afterall), I don’t promote Romney and in my posting history, if you want to travel back to before Rick left the stage, you’ll see who I promote.

Now, If you look you’ll see on my homepage ALL the reasons why one should be running from Obama like Jesse Owen racing for the Gold. The man is a Marxist, Muslim Brotherhood Jihad supporting, Israeli hating, narcissist who is just bubbling to get through his next election to help out our enemies. Read my tagline.

>>Which other candidate besides Mitt Romney would it “delight” you for someone to vote for?<<

OMGoodness, any coop at the convention will do. I keep hoping Newt and Sarah would have a plan. Who knows what will happen?

It does not change. You have that part exactly right. We are either a nation of laws and limited powers or not. Currently not so why would anybody vote for somebody who thinks he can rule by decree like the current clown?

I will use every means at my disposal.

As our first president said: “Government is force.”

“If you think that the president is without the means to faithfully execute the laws”

Where did I say the president is without means? Abortion is legal. yes thats a travesty but its the law.

So how would Tom change that? How would issuing illegal orders make it more legal? Why would a conservative want to rule by proclamation?

“Tom feels that a president is not authorized to delegate his obligation to comply with those directives to the Supreme Court or to anyone else”

So Tom wants to be a dictator. The United States Supreme Court is an equal to the President of the United states. Just as Congress is equal. To want to ignore another branch of government is not a conservative value.

Actually, based on your post #169 it sounds like you don't care about abortion at all.

I actually do care about abortion but realistic enough to realize the vast majority of Americans, even conservatives, don't make it the #1 plank in their agenda. Fox News said abortion is only the #1 issue in 6% of conservatives.

Abortion will only be done away with by changing peoples minds over time...and that is happening year by year.

To think Tom or any other person is going to outlaw abortion overnight is foolishness.

I don’t promote Romney and in my posting history

Of course you do, you are promoting Romney on this very thread.

You coward. You know that it is a mathematical fallacy to say that a third party vote is a vote "for" Obama, just as it is a mathematical fallacy to say that a third party vote is a vote "for" Romney.

You must have gotten pretty good grades in fuzzy math.

Oh I’ve thought through things plenty. Obama hates America and is working hard for our downfall. I don’t believe there will be an America if he is reelected. The name may exist but it wont matter.

LOTS of smart people agree with this. Sarah Palin, Newt, Cain, Santorum and many others have made comments to this effect.

So what makes you more politically astute then all of those people?

Like I said, you’re caught in a loop.

Unless it’s this....

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

So you will illegally use the military to close down things you don’t like? Despite rulings from the USSC and current law.

You call yourself a conservative?

Actually, you have plenty of time, but it’s obvious you would answer “yes” to my question (because it’s true, and you know it), and once you do that you might have to seriously think again.......

The loop is your bizarre lie.

You are on a thread pushing Mitt Romney, and denying that you are doing it, that is just psycho.

Straw Man.

Whether it's #1 in 2012 (based on 'polls') or not, it is in the top 5/10 issues and would be a significant part of the social conservatism platform, along with Defense of Marriage.

Abortion is legal.

Abortion is not legal. Read the Declaration of Independence. Read the 5th Amendment to our Constitution. Read the 14th Amendment to our Constitution.

So Tom wants to be a dictator. The United States Supreme Court is an equal to the President of the United states. Just as Congress is equal. To want to ignore another branch of government is not a conservative value.

Where in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution does it say that the Supreme Court is the final arbiter of the meaning of those documents?

Where is it written that the President of the United States must reject his own interpretation of those documents and defer to 9 unelected judges?

Where does it say that the president's interpretation is, to use your word, less "equal" than the opinion of some unelected judges?

Our founding documents make it crystal clear that "life" is a value worth defending and protecting. It is the president's duty to abide by the terms of those documents, even if some judge or some Freeper disagrees.
