Probably the last person you’d expect to cite Sarah Palin favorably is Noam Chomsky. Yet in an interview with the Leftist news organization Democracy Now, Chomsky did precisely that, saying Palin was right to mock Obama for his lack of substance.
“I don’t usually admire Sarah Palin,” Chomsky said, “but when she was making fun of this ‘hopey changey stuff,’ she was right, there was nothing there.”

Pretty funny stuff. Basically he says Obama ran a great marketing campaign in 2008 but that Palin was right in that there was “nothing there”. As Rush always says, “symbolism over substance”. Obama is an empty vessel.

Read the comments! 95% Pro Palin, and most slamming the main stream media. If I was working in that studio I would start putting out resumes cause the man on the street HATES them on their own website!

Chomsky also just loves to pull people's chains, and it must be an unbearable temptation to invoke Palin when the mere name makes veins bulge in academic foreheads.
I did it myself the other day. Someone asked me about politics and I just sighed and said "Well, I guess I'll just vote for whoever Sarah Palin tells me to." Couldn't have done any better with a live hand grenade...
