Free Republic's Jim Robinson Makes the Turn
punish RINOs in the House
I respect those who are still die-hard for beating Romney, but that is yesterdays fight. The danger is not in seeming inconsistenttrust me; we left marks all over that Romney fellow, and he will not forget us. Maybe next time we will unseat him like we are about to do to Lugar, and a number of other RINOs. And this is the fight for today: punish RINOs in the House and especially Lugar in the Senate. Tomorrows fight is back to the White House to get Obama out of my chair.
their friends could use the help
Those who still toil in the fields of Newt are at great risk of becoming irrelevant, the one thing they must not become. They poke and stab at the bodies of friends and enemies alike from a long-finished battle, while their friends could use the help a valley away, where the fight is now.
to engage on the next fight, disengage from the previous
Jim at Free Republic did the right thing, and must pull his readership back together to allow Free Republic to become once more the hammer of the right. He could stand on the conservative Jihad, stabbing at thee from the heart of Hell etc etc, but the fact is, Freepers need to engage on the next fight, and in order to do thatthey must disengage from the previous.

That is one of the most horrific pictures of Romney ever!!! How the Hell did he win most of the primaries??? That smarmy, grinning idiot. I’ll have to vote absentee, so I can take a shot of whiskey after I decide on a Write In or Romney.
Praying for a brokered convention.
That assertion in not evident in the way he operated as Mass.Gov #fail
Some of us are still trying to defeat Obama. I see that some are dead-set against that. We’ll see.
All three of my preferred candidates are history, and we’ve been set up by the GOP. Fine. Assault into the ambush. Elect the guy and gain at least some control. If he wins without conservative support, we will have no say, and if he loses, there will be serious repercussions. And if you think the last four years were bad, imagine them without winning in 2010. Ahem.
My goal with the blog post is to push what’s going on here out to folks who may not be following the goings-on at FR. I don’t make money from the blog (rather the opposite), and I thank you for the pimp juice and the fine, fine hat.
Complain all you want about format and etiquette, but get busy. Some of us are still trying to defeat Obama.
How can you say this when FUBO consistently walks around Congress whenever he pleases? It’s essential to get him out of the people’s house.
So why did you excerpt it then?
And I might add that more is at stake than the issues FUBO has walked around Congress on, egregious as those usurpations of Congress’s power were.
Our Constitution is at stake if we allow this to stand.
No honeymoon or waiting to see what he does.
Of course the left will use that against Romney and us as well so it's very possible in 2016 we'll be faced with the same kind of election we have this time and the possibility is strong that the left will take back the White House along with the House and Senate.
The threat of socialism no matter what flavor, Obama or Romney, is a puss blister on The Republic and it needs popped NOW!
“and that will be WITHOUT my vote BTW”
Barack Obama appreciates your non-vote.
Your children, however, will be cussing your name for it, long after you are gone.
He gave up when FUBO broke his promise and decided not to do public financing. McCain has been around long enough to be properly cynical about the importance of money. He said “the dam has broken” and he was correct. Right here on FR we watched all the illegal contributions pour in, remember? FUBO is not even a legally elected president, in more ways than one.
"Do?" I wouldn't do anything....we all make our own decisions, right?
Well, you could start with the fact that 0+1 does not equal -1 as you seem to believe.
As I posted upthread, if you Romney Republicans want your guy to win, you need my vote a heck of a lot more than I need yours.
So, in the interests of that argument, please explain how a vote for a known progressive, giving him control of the party apparatus of the supposedly right-of-center party in this country, advances the cause of conservatism. After all, this is the purpose of this website.
I have had it up to my back teeth with the flawed argument that voting for an actual conservative for President is somehow a vote for Baraq. It's wrong by every possible definition. It's a vote FOR good.
Many of us will not be turning left. Please rejoin us after we beat your candidate in November.
Anybody - and I do mean anybody - who enables the traitorous bastard, through action or inaction, is no different."
Again today? :::yawn:::
You might want to take that issue up with your candidate. A woman at one of his rallies told him Obama was a traitor, and when asked if he agreed, said, "Of course not!"
That's easy. We need both houses of Congress. And not just Republican control, but conservative control. They can stand up to him and prevent his "walking around Congress.' But even if it is Romney we still need a conservative Congress and control of both houses to keep him in check as well.
One of the reasons the rich get rich is because they don't pay for things they don't have to pay for and they are cheap tippers.
It's highly unlikely Romney will hire on any Conservatives into his cabinet positions or the other appointed positions. First off he doesn't even know any Conservatives, and only a few more Republicans.
He is as much an outsider to this party as is Obama ~ and it's by his choice.
There's every opportunity here for the entire national campaign to fail simply because this guy can't link up with the party!
I assume you refer to Romney is the poster's candidate.
And who might this paragon be who will "beat" Romney in November?
Ron Paul?
I agree with your last sentence, but all the conservative congress members in the world will not stop FUBO. He takes pleasure in doing what he sees as the will of the rest of the world and overriding his own country’s voice.
He has effectively negated our elections, since he treads right over our legitimately elected officials.
Don’t know how I’ve missed you so far.
I loathe you.
