Following George Zimmerman's successful bail hearing in Sanford, Fl., today, Trayvon Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump made statements at a courthouse press conference that sounded to me like veiled calls for violence against Zimmerman.
Crump repeatedly spoke about how the Martin family 'could not understand why the state was protecting' Zimmerman and used inflammatory language to describe Zimmerman getting bail. He also compared Zimmerman in a suit at the hearing to Trayvon wearing a suit in his coffin.
Crump is an officer of the court. He knows that defendants are presumed innocent and are afforded every measure to protect them during prosecution.
If I were involved in the case, I'd be moving to sanction Crump.
Stirring up that race-mob mentality is Crump's stock in trade. We'll be seeing him again in other cases where some agitation is needed.
Thanks.
Well I never knew...thank you
Have learned so much from fellow freepers. In the good ol days we were all learning and more often than we do today passed on tips to survive the new fangled computers.
“Crump said that the family had declined to meet with Zimmerman before the hearing.”
Which is it Crump?! Either he was grandstanding or he offered to meet with the family, you lying piece of race bating crap.
Crump is more race-bating scum. This “feigned outrage” from parents who copyrighted their son’s name.
Crump says the prosecutor appropriately held back on evidence. Theyre saving it for trial, he says.
WHOA! That's a big no-no, isn't it?
First they called it an apology, and it wasn’t that, either. It was an expression of sympathy.
Then, having falsely characterized it as an apology, they tried to equate apology with acknowledgement of guilt.
The enlightening thing about both those MSM paths is that they’re just parroting the talking points Crump handed them the day before. He’s writing the lines, they’re just playing the parts.
Thanks ...you gave me a good laff. Plus good homepage and what great children you have. You have (more than) done your duty
Happy to help: if we couldn’t laugh, we would all go insane.
Didn’t know if you’d seen this. It looks to me like prosecutors must turn over just about everything they have: http://www.cobblawfirm.com/Rules_Discovery.htm
