Licensed guns are registered guns, and as such are subject to confiscation, whenever Her Majesty’s Government deem it appropriate.
It has already been done with the handguns, and it has already been done with the semiautomatic rifles & shotguns. Baroness Thatcher was no help in this regard.
Britons are largely disarmed. Self defence in UK is a guilty till proven innocent crime in UK.

I write this from the safety of the opposite shore of the Atlantic even as I count my blessings and my freedom to possess firearms and to use them in defence of self & home.

But can you get *to* them if you want them? A gun locked in a gun safe in a “gun club” miles away is of no use when the gremlins are knocking down your front door.
