Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has been inundated with criticism after calling Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown University student who testified before a House committee about contraception, a slut and a prostitute. But while Democrats have fiercely condemned the comments, Republicans ire has been significantly more muted.
ABCs George Will told me Sunday on This Week that GOP leaders have steered clear of harshly denouncing Limbaughs comments because Republican leaders are afraid of Rush Limbaugh.
[House Speaker John] Boehner comes out and says Rushs language was inappropriate. Using the salad fork for your entrée, thats inappropriate. Not this stuff, Will said. And it was depressing because what it indicates is that the Republican leaders are afraid of Rush Limbaugh. They want to bomb Iran, but theyre afraid of Rush Limbaugh.

How could that be?! He’s just a “lovable fuzzball”, I thought?! :)
When the going gets tough you can always count on the guys with the bowties.
LOL Republican so-called leaders are wimps who deal with the left under the table to keep their cushy jobs and club buddies.
They’re afraid of everyone. With Rush it is more respect him. They know he has their back.
This whole situation is blown-up, all out of proportion. Fluke acts like a nymphomaniac and wants others to pay for her birth control - definitely irresponsible.
Let her keep her knees together. That works quite well and doesn’t cost any money. Unless she is, indeed, working as a whore.
Georgie was more relevant 10 years ago.
Rush Limbaugh is a mysogonist meanwhile the President of the United States has gangsta rappers in the White House. Go Figure....
Companies didn’t pull advertising from:
Bill Maher: “Sarah Palin is a stupid twat.”
Ed Schultz: “Laura Ingraham is a right-wing slut.”
Keith Olbermann: “Michelle Malkin is a mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it.
David Letterman: Sarah Palin dresses like a slutty flight attendant.”
David Letterman: “There was an awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game. During the 7th inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.”
That guy epitomizes “twerp”:
Bow tie, crayola glasses, leather patches on the elbows....just OOOZES northeastern elitism.
THAT GUY a conservative? OH PUH-LEEZE...!
Can you picture George Will in a fist-fight? Not me.
I don’t think he’s gay but.....he seems VERY CLOSE.
He prolly drapes sweaters over his shoulders, oh, so thoughtfully....
They should be. Just think, in a few days after this kerfuffle dies down and we once again talk about what is important, if Rush comes out and endorses Santorum or Gingrich. He could drop a giant turd in the establishments punch bowl. Say the day before supertuesday. He could give a 3 hour endorsement and admonish all to call the congress. The establishment would be running off at the bowels. Their assholes would be drawn up tight as a snare drum. It might be funny to watch.
George Will is a butt-boy for liberals. He is a political whore, getting paid to express the views of his masters.
Or is that a more inappropriate statement than someone “Using the salad fork for your entrée...”?
What a poofer!
Yes. A three second one.
Republicans have leaders?
Who the Hell are they?
I’d really like to know so I can vote their worthless a$$es out!
Sad, isn’t it ?
I forgot about that nastu rapper Obama invited to the White House who sings the filthy songs. Anyone remember the rapper name?
Fluke isn’t a student. She is a Democratic activist for feminist, gay, abortion and sex issues.
Yes, but not a surprise.
GOP leaders have steered clear of harshly denouncing Limbaughs comments because Republican leaders are afraid of Rush Limbaugh.
If they’re afraid, it’s because they think Rush has legions of adherents whom he could muster against them at anytime. I can tell you that I won’t be buying flowers or beds from those advertizers who withdrew from him. You can bet on that!
