March 2, 2012 Obama Calls Law Student Embroiled in Birth-Control Debate By JONATHAN WEISMAN President Obama on Friday called a Georgetown University law student who has publicly backed the administration’s regulations mandating that employer-provided insurance plans offer free contraceptives, thanking her for standing firm against withering criticism and an escalating battle between Democrats and Rush Limbaugh.
The president made the call just before Sandra Fluke, who last month supported Mr. Obama’s policy in informal testimony on Capitol Hill, was to appear on MSNBC.
“What was really personal for me was he said to tell my parents that they should be proud,” she told Andrea Mitchell, the host of the cable news program.
The showdown between Ms. Fluke and Mr. Limbaugh is turning into a major battle between Democratic and Republican lawmakers. Under heavy pressure from Democratic leaders, House Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio on Friday condemned as “inappropriate” the comments Mr. Limbaugh made earlier this week. The conservative talk show host called Ms. Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” for supporting Mr. Obama’s regulations, even if the mandate might violate an employer’s religious beliefs.
But Mr. Boehner, a Republican, also denounced Democratic fund-raising efforts that have stemmed from the turn of events.
“The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation,” Michael Steel, Mr. Boehner’s spokesman, said Friday.
The flap originates from an appearance by Ms. Fluke, a student at Georgetown University’s law school, at an informal House Democratic hearing last month. Ms. Fluke testified in favor of Mr. Obama’s mandate, which Georgetown and other Catholic institutions have roundly condemned as an infringement on their religious rights.

Wait a minute! If she is 26 or under, why aren’t those parents keeping her on their policy and providing her birth control?????
Obama knows that this “woman” is not married and is aware that she is having premarital sex and he calls her to support her not just having pepremarital sex, but using birth control that will kill any babies she might conceive.
He condones both premarital sex and baby murder.
