The Obama team may be thinking a Santorum candidacy is good for them, but they should be careful what they wish for. "A Santorum candidacy will very likely push the Obama team much harder than a Romney candidacy would."

He is always difficult to watch—just ask the voters in Pa. about his last senate bid—largest loss of a sitting senator in history! His silly little buck toothed grin looks like he just broke wind and is blaming it on the guy next to him.
That’s not saying a whole lot since a Romney nomination would hardly ‘push’ the Obama Administration on anything. The Romney campaign is standing in sand. His political past as a moderate (OK, Liberal) is going to make it impossible for Romney to gain any traction.
Speaking as a Pennsylvanian, you can't underestimate the intelligence of the average PA voter. Add-in the fact that PA has the highest proportion of elderly this side of Florida, an you have a state where the Democrat "Playbook" works best. Scare 'em. Finally the vote fraud in Philadelphia is so bad that they don't even bother to hide it any longer. Black Panthers with night-sticks at the polling places, no problem! Just let a Republican canvaser stand an inch too close to a polling place on election day and the Dem committeemen will have him in court at the speed of light.
Interesting. I saw that what won PA for Obama was the fact that he won Philadelphia and the four counties around it by more than he lost the rest of PA by. Maybe everything west of Philly and those counties should secede.
You would think the GOP leadership would get the hint that Romney who has been running for president since at least 2008 is a weak candidate among the rank and file GOP. Romney has spent millions setting up organizations in various states and then just squeaks by Santorum in his home state of Michigan, looses to Gingrich in South Carolina and looses to Santorum in Iowa when both Gingrich and Santorum had been written off and had neither Romney's money or organization. Romney just can't close the deal with GOP voters and I do not think his Obama lite politics will play all that well with the so called moderate voters and will be a bitter pill to swallow for most of the GOP base.
