I’m not someone who expects or requires my politicians to be saints or nuns. But personal issues like this would come up in the election just as we saw with Herman Cain. So I am curious if she denied these allegations already or just sort of dodged or ignored them. The accusations that came out in that guy’s book could be the reason she didn’t run.
Followed by living in the most repressive dictatorship in human history? I don't think so.
Without "a four-eight year stint in Washington." her children have nothing less to look forward to than the Stazi with supercomputers, aerial drones, unlimited databases, a camera on every corner with the authoritah to instantly dispatch anyone considered an enemy of the state.
Different in every state I think, but in the caucuses people seem to get picked as delegates on the day of the caucus. A lot of them go to the state convention, and a subgroup is “picked” to go to the national convention. I don’t know if they’re picked by the candidates or by the state party. This thread explains how Ron Paul people are executing a plan to stack the delegates with their own people:

In Pennsylvania, you have to run on a ballot to be elected as a delegate and you can vote for whoever you want at the convention. It doesn’t have to be who won the primary in your state.
She’s “reloading”
Newt Sarah Allen - We wait. And watch. And some of us Pray.
It’s going to require a massive shift for the establishment GOP pols and check writers to see them on the ticket.
I’d vote for anyone of the three without blinking. We need a president that tells it like it is. I believe anyone of the three would do that. 2 of those candidates have been “vetted” good or bad.
EXCUSE ME???
That should be THE centerpiece of her campaign.
THIS is how the liberals want to treat every American they don't agree with.
This his how they want to treat YOU.
If you don't want to live in a Federal Goldfish Bowl, don't vote for a liberal.
Vote for Sarah, She's seen the future, and vice versa...
The act itself is/was certainly a problem.
I really think he was placed there to goad the Palin family into an overt act of aggression, for which they would then have more ammunition, probably on tape, to be looped to play 24/7.
The Palins foiled the plans however, with 'nothing to see here, move along' in the literal sense.
Can't have that, so stuff was made of whole cloth.
The media's whole ploy was to embroil her in this crap, to take her eye off the ball, just in case she ran. She was, and still is their worst nightmare.
Excellent idea.
I've always wondered how some of the Dem delegates afford it. I bet the party pays for some of them... churches pay for others. I wonder!
Well, something sure changed between Indianola on September 3 and the "no run" announcement on October 5.
The McGinnis book was published on September 14.
You can draw your own conclusions. I personally would not like to inhabit the public eye right after a book about my wife's sex life before our marriage was published, and I don't think the First Dude liked it very much, either.

That’s definitely possible. But the horse had already left the barn, and quitting the race is exactly what this lowlife wanted. So, overall, I can’t picture the First Dude pressuring her to drop out.
Chris Christie????? Yes I did mention him. Reread my initial post. I did misspell his name the second time I wrote it but who else might you have thought I was taking about?
So that is the source of my not thinking your post was germane. You thought I missed Christie. I thought your pejoratively suggesting him was ad hominem because I did list him.
I think that overstates what I think happened.
I think being Mr. Sarah Palin had turned into a much bigger deal than it had been before the "pre-race race". I wonder if Mr. Palin ever sat down for five minutes to let it all soak in.
The McGinnis punch in the mouth may have brought a lot of stuff to the surface, who knows.
If I'm right, it makes me think even more of her, because most of these sociopaths would run over their spouse in a second for a shot at the brass ring.
In any event, for whatever reason, the Sarah of 2009-9/3/2011 is back again and showing a little ankle, so - keep hope alive.
I suspect that Obama has been a disaster to all but his core voters. That is why the midterms were as they were. That is why the Dims lost Weiner’s House seat. That is why Obama may very well not be reelected. That is why I read an article today about the youth vote abandoning him.
You may not worry about the nominee having executive experience, but the electorate at large may well. In a brokered convention the professional pols will be concerned with winning so that will be a factor. Also issue of having run and won in a statewide race will matter even more if the nominee is from a brokered convention and was not picked by winning a number of states in primary elections. That makes any Congressman or ex-Congressman or mayor or ex-mayor unlikely.
Hopefully the Santorum-Gingrich rivalry will coalesce into one Mitt-beating viable candidate before the convention, with the one who concedes throwing his support to the other. Sarah would make an awesome veep for either one and as the heiress apparent to the GOP presidential candidacy in 2020, a very tantalizing choice. Newt is more her style than Rick, but she could play well with either one.
No. 2012 was "Mitt's turn"
What a BEAUTIFUL picture of her!!! (I always dreamed of having a horse just like the one she is riding, too!)
OK, with that out of the way, I consider her words to actually be of great comfort! I’m not too familiar yet with what a brokered convention could actually mean, but I’d love to see her and Gingrich or something on the same ticket. We need someone like her, and like him to lead us away from the abyss (we’re hanging on roots sticking out of the side of the cliff at this point...). SOMEONE who is a “Statesman” and can carry the message of liberty to the public and offer a TRUE alternative to the status quo which is what the GOP-e and the DNC want to stick with. I’m praying for that daily...
The picture is at Reagans ranch and that is Reagans horse I believe...I;m not familiar with brokered conventions either but it tells me all is not lost yet...
Well, we are just parsing words. Call the uncommitted delgates or free delegates. Call them what you want but I call them “superdelegates” and so do many people because they don’t have to vote according to the primary results on the first round at the convention.
Palin: “she would do whatever [she] could to help,”
I don’t know what that means. Who or what will she help? As much as I would like too, I’m not reading her comment as her indicating she will enter the race, should there be a brokered deal. What am I missing?
