I carry a lock pick set in my plumbing truck. Every once in a while it comes in very handy. My warning to you is this, if you thought plumbing requires a great deal of patience, triple it and try picking a lock.

easy there tough guy-I had to us this once when the woman next door had a stroke and could not get to the door to unlock it and this was handy little knowledge to know—its not all about your paranoia

Thank you for posting this.
Just as not everyone with a gun is a criminal, everyone with an interest in learning how to pick a lock is not a burglar.
I didn’t know that there were associations for people like me; that want ways to defeat locks and learn tactical emergency skills. This is great information!!
BTW - the bad guys already know how to do this, or they simply use a sledge hammer.
