All That Is Wrong with Georgia State Judge Michael M. Malihi’s Decision...

Georgia State Administrative Law Judge, Michael M. Malihi, issued his decision on Friday, February 3, 2012, finding that putative President, Barack Obama, is eligible as a candidate for the presidential primary election under O.C.G.A. Sec. 21-2-5(b). I must enter my objection to this decision which is not supported by either fact or law.

The Court held: “For purposes of this analysis, this Court considered that President Barack Obama was born in the United States. Therefore, as discussed in Arkeny [sic meant Ankeny], he became a citizen at birth and is a natural born citizen.”

I lived in Hawaii for many years, and since Hawaiian doesn’t have very many vowels, the name Malihi had a certain sound to it. There’s a part of Oahu named Kalihi, and a word “malihini” which means “newcomer”; I didn’t know one way or another, I just tossed in a speculation.

I went to Oahu about a dozen times when I was in the Navy. I picked up a few words myself...like "haole" when you gave them the "Hang Loose" sign.

It took me asking around a while before I found out that it was being said in a derogatory manner.
Might as well have flipped me the bird instead.
